God’s Great Mercy
Throughout this life, nightmares have come
Thoughts that have overtaken my mind
Enemies that arise
Throughout the battles and through all this pain
I have been left broken and scarred
The wounds are so deep and so infected
They stink with the stench of decay
My mind and my soul have been left in trauma
Like one who has been violated
Ravaged and torn
Left like trash, in a dark corner somewhere
Feeling trapped in despair, left in shame and grief
Oh, but God’s LOVE has found me
He draws close to me
He sees my wounds and my fears
He holds me close and wipes away my tears
He kneels down and removes my rags
Cleanses my wounds with Grace
He anoints my scars with oil
And bandages them with His Love
His Precious Love fills my soul
Fills me up, until I overflow
My rags He took and gave a new garment to wear
So bright and so clean, it shines bright like the sun
This joy is so great, that I must share with those that I meet
Share His Great Love and Mercy
No matter how deep, no matter how lost
Throughout The Darkness, GOD will light your ways
Give HIM your heart and He will heal it
And fill the void with goodness and love
Love that surpasses human understanding
He knows your pains and He wants to save you
Just run to HIM and He will embrace you
He will end that story and give you a new beginning
A new Life, A meaningful purpose
GOD wants the best for you
Trust HIM and give HIM your wounded Heart
He’ll take your scars and make you brand new
