I am assuming that you meant "romantic" poems. If so, then I think that you would need to be inspired by your love for someone of the opposite sex. Poems of that sort, in my estimation, need to come from one's heart. Whether or not it rhymes, if it conveys the intended message, then it has served its purpose.

The book Song of songs/Song of Solomon would be a good place to get inspiration. Fair warning though, Might forget some of the terminology or substitute into modern relatable things, Timbers of Lebanon and Twin fawns of gazelles , ivory tusks and flocks of goats, tower of David etc just don’t quite strike the modern mind as romantic work today’s language but it may give a good baseline as it’s ancient love poetry that is touching, tender and sensual and best of all holy 😉 one could also look at the Psalms of David for inspiration

One word at a time lol.

Think of writing like talking, bible says what comes out of the mouth comes from the heart.
same thing with writing. The difference is that the mouth is audable words and writing is visual words.

Kind of like this.....

I met a girl, Gorgeous as can be,
Mixed ethnicity, Beauty devine.
I could have sworn, she was angelic.

Slender Build, Long flowing brown hair,
Perfect teeth and plump lips,
Her smile could light up the world.

Her personality is sweet, Sweeter than the morning dew
Her humour is fun, Try and guess her ethnicity.
She is nothing short of divine, I would ask God to be my witness.

While I only just met her,
her profile tells me,
Shes the girl I would like to marry.

Learn to be romantic... Holding the door open when the door automatically opens is not romantic lol
Superfluities can be super in romance
Each small gesture a step in the dance

There's no trick to this art that France can impart...

I almost hate to say it
But France is overrated
I've never met anyone from France. I only know what I've learned through history or the news. But they are supposed to be a romantic group, according to what I've heard. Otherwise, I danced there for no reason.

crushes last for just a while
fun like a sunset
with colors galore

takes a moment to
warm the heart
while you take it in

when romance begins
is when frolicking ends
commitment is a choice

choose careful, my friend
pick once, not again
the one you'll be with
when your life ends

Written for 'TheLearner' just now :)

Is that a fancy way of asking if I want to dance? Lol jk 😁.

Automatic doors already open for her to walk in.
That is not romance that's not how to begin.

If you're looking for a go, this is how I would start.
I will paint you a picture, a true piece of art.

I would start with a flower, a smell that's devine.
I would give it to you, its no longer to be mine.

I would reach out my arm, with a slight curve.
We would walk down the street on the side of the curb.

Is this romance, could this be a winner?
With a smile on my face,as I asked you to dinner.

That might be how you write a small romantic poem....kinda lol @TheLearner

Romamatic?

I'd say it writes itself, and then asks for a couple of coins for the entertainment. ;)
