Just a taste

Just One more sin
my mind's made up
Tomorrow I'll repent
One more sin
Was not enough
Here I go again, I'm hellbent

A whirlwind of death
has taken me up
A viscous cycle
It's not enough
Have I trampled underfoot your blood
Sinners as such can not be loved

If not for I, you did die
I cannot figure why to try
All I feel is torment and judgment
I fear I'll shrink away
At your second coming
But I dare not ask the rocks to plummet

Utter despair is all I see
your judgement please relieve it
I know if it were to be so
Your son MUST receive it

If I have not been born again
LORD please make it so
You make all things new
Just make me a stool
To your feet I go

And if I perish I'll perish there
Christ my only plea
But if I be at your feet
It's only because you died for me

I love you Lord I hate my sin
Help me look to your Cross
And know that when you do return
The dross will then be off

The old has passed away
The old man crucified
Please help me live a godly life
Because for me you died

Christ is LORD my mind's made up
He died for me and that's enough
He drank the cup that was filled up
For me he died and forever is alive
God's wrath on me no longer abides

Sweetly reproved
It wasn't a waste
Communion with you is all I seek
Just a glimpse just a taste
LORD It's not enough
