Loved by God, Lover of God

Glorious is the Lord that when wounds are smitten
Over the wounds His flaming love is written

We don't understand and never could
Why these wounds are given or should

But by faith a beautiful heart as a flower opens
To the Master who cannot stop loving us with sweet words to us spoken

I like this a lot. Great message, short and to the point but still has a beautiful poetic quality. Also reminds me that I should try to write shorter poems.
