Thank you all for coming to his post. This is my first post I will be doing. I was praying to God one day, and just got the urge to start typing. What came out is what you are about to read. Thank you, and praise God.

My Heart Screams At Division
By JDSheets

Dear God why am I in this situation!
My heart screams out to you for answers,
My tongue can not gather the words that they seek,
And my mind is twisted from this Division!

Oh how I wish that these things could be one!
How I wish that our families could be as one!
How they see fault in one another,
And are quick to judge each other so!

I've brought to the table a peace offering!
I've laid down the ground rules to learn!
They don't want to talk, all they want to do it push!
With no one against them! They fight anyway!

Dear God, I am crying out here and now!
How am I going to stand before you on your throne?
How am I going to see you face to face?
My very own kin doesn't even want me faced!

The house is Divided! The house is Divided!
My soul burns when it sees and reads the words!
How much longer must I bear this division?!
How much longer, dear Master?

So few of us at CC from Delaware. Division is such an issue here. There are 80 churches in Milford, all competing, and almost all for one skin color or culture only. It's front page news when 3 of them get together to help the same 30 people that 3 other churches are helping two blocks away. Three separate Christian basketball leagues with one team each here, who do not know each other exists. There are more pastors than the size of most congregations. Our skating rink is haunted and proud of it. Do you know there are prophecies that Delaware alone is holding back the national revival?

I see another division. And this division is a separation.

His mind screams, his tongue stumbles, his mind twisting with division. And because of this he is unable to see God face to face.

This is the problem of the world.

We have something written in our hearts.
The problem in the garden was a lying tongue.
It came straight from the heart. God is trying to remove that stone cold heart and give you a heart of compassion. What we see as evil might be for our own good.

If you want to see God face to face, you must understand that our God is a God of truth. He doesn't say as much as you might think he does. And when he speaks, God always let's you decide. It is you and God, and nobody else between you and his word. Let God speak to you. If you become a fool, you have lost your pride. Well...God tells you what he thinks of your pride...and if you disagree, the Lord God will use his discretion: "As you wish." God is not going to decide for you. He will tell you right up front that wisdom is for the lowly so you must ask yourself to know what it is you are looking for.

There is a division between our face in the mirror and the image of One God.
We are divided. Our heart desires pull at us, and our conclusions are but brick walls.
We want to do one thing, but we do another, we become twisted. We are not "One."
And whatever we chose to do, whether it be good or whether it be evil, has become habitual.

Now the problem ends when your heart's desires becomes aligned with the desire of God's heart. But this is a delicate thing to do. And it is not with all that bloodshed in the O.T.; nor is it with all the bloodshed of today. Nowhere in the Bible will you find any command to go find or join any religion. The word of God is not about religion, it is about a way of life. Start here: You have the word of God, see if you can find God's heart. Your heart, Christ's heart, God's heart = One heart. Like the heart of a child.

I have One Father; and there is no devil beside Him.
And for good, or for evil, our reward is with Him. Deut. 28, Don't fall into that pit that begins at v.15
We must first overcome that wicked one in our own heart and put Christ in his place before we can bare to see God face to face. Any delay is for our own good. Expect God to prove you.

What should poetry do? Provoke though? Provoke conversation?
Maybe I am out of line here...if so...if so...sorry.

I am from Delaware
I know. It's in your bio. The reason I responded is because there are so few of us. I think just over 60 in all have posted Delaware as home state, and only like 16 or so have ever posted. Other than you and I, only one other new member has posted in the past week. I love Christianchat, but as far as connecting people locally, it is not working in DE. It makes me wonder if that is just another sign of the division that seems to be everywhere other than Seaford and a few places north of the canal, where the overlap to state lines is forcing some working together of churches.
