Rumors abound of the coming destruction
One that will surely separate
Every wolf from the lamb
Grains of wheat from every tare

World will confound to create a distraction
But the redeemed and regenerate
Are safe with the pierced hand
That will gently wipe every tear

This world must die
And its flower will wither
The angel of lie
Will soon cease his slither

Still the creation within
Groans for its redemption
The seed of purpose within
Will reach its resumption
