Summer Reveries
Weep no more for mornings past,
A look in the sky makes the new day last,
Tomorrow will be a sunshiny day
In my heart if not the heavens
And I shall smile and seek my Friend
Down past the corner where the river bends
There birds will sing and flowers will flower
Together we'll sit and dream hour after hour.
A little chatter from the stream as it goes by
The leaf rustles, winds sing in moans and cries.
Soon it will all be gone and everthing is dry
I'll wipe away the tears of what made me cry
Awakening in the morning; blue skies, sun
Rising, yesterday past
