Night falls
Darkness beats back day
Clouds cover skies

Random thoughts run
Random thoughts flood
Trying to beat me back
Like wave upon shore
Breaking, eroding, forging

At times
The storms of life
Attempt to blanket
Attempts to shine
to smile
to be
Like cloud covered skies
Holding back stars

Yet even amidst the turmoil
The brightest stand up
Holding to light within
And faint light sent
Even on cloud covered nights
Makes its' way
showing the dreamer is
and will always be
ALIVE

:) thanks, lol, I don't really know anything about writing poetry... I just write sometimes and call it poetry :p
