yes, Miri,

it always comes down to where we are in our obedience to our Saviour;
He will put upon our hearts and bestow His Holy discernment upon our hearts,
whether 'we should, or whether we shouldn't...it's really that simple...

if we truly serve our Precious Saviour, He generally cuts to the chase, and allows
us to receive His Truth in these matters,..with no apologies...

if it's 'wishy-washy', then we know that we are out of alignment with His Will for us...
