What if you, and what if I
Were ourselves to daily die?
What if we surrender all
And listen for the Master's call?

What if you, and what if I
Deny our flesh and mortify?
What if we seek not our own
That the Lord be made known?

What if you, and what if I
Were to trust in His supply?
What if we simply claim
All we need in Jesus' name?

What if you, and what if I
Sought the Lord to magnify?
What if we, you and I,
Lived only, the Lord, to glorify?

Those pesky commandments.
only pesky for a thief lol

you know interestingly tha the true when any law says “ you aren’t allowed to steal “ whether gods law or man’s law the law is speaking only to a thief , those who don’t steal the command don’t steal is actually for the person to protect thier belongings from thief’s

But to the thief he sees a condemnation of himself on a command sayong “ do not steal “ while the worker who doesn’t steal is fully for the command because it doesn’t restrict him but the thief from stealing his goods

If people aren’t wicked and don’t do evil there is no law necassary so when cain killed abel it’s then that God made the command “ thou shalt not kill lest ye be killed “

“Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭9:6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

notice God didn’t tell cain “ don’t kill your brother “ instead he just told cain “ simply do what’s right “ but after man has killed another man the law came “ thou shalt not kill and anyone who kills must be killed”

You tell a violent person “ do not kill” you tell a thief “ don’t steal “ adulterers “ don’t commit adultery “ ect as man’s sin grew so grew the law in response to tesch man about sin sorry but what I was saying the other day

“knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, for whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine; according to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.”
‭‭1 Timothy‬ ‭1:9-11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

It’s why it keeps saying don’t do all these wicked things he was speaking to those people .the law is for that group but not for the born again we aren’t told don’t “do these thousand things you sinners “ we’re told “ come near to me and hear my words believe in me learn from me follow me and you’ll be saved “

the law actually kept provoking sin because of mans sinfulness and it’s restrictive nature towards sinners Jesus is able to heal our inner issues we don’t need to be reminded “ don’t kill anyone “ because born again folk aren’t killers or thieves or liars or adulterers that’s part ofn thier old life under the law of sin

Romans 7:5...For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sin, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.
Romans 7:6...But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.

“Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law?

of works?

Nay: but by the law of faith. Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.

Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭3:27-28, 31‬ ‭KJV‬‬

faith in Christ is the real law
