Wishful thinking

What is it exactly?

Is it making up stories in order to be happy?

Or maybe it’s myths and legend

Beautiful stories we have told each other for generations, each one with it’s own blemish

Each one giving us theme and and definition

But if one thing I’ve learned from these stories

It’s that none of us are perfect.

It’s that we always seem to commit horrid acts deeming love worthless

It’s that we hurt each other, and do terrible things all the time even when we don’t realize it

But it’s also that we forget what our worth is

We wander around this life without meaning or purpose

Even though we’re each valuable, just fallen so far

So what is wishful thinking?

Is it believing in God?

Is it believing we’re all Devine and perfect? That we ourselves are God?

Or maybe that nothing matters, and this is just how we are, no more valuable then animals.

No, wishful thinking is believing what you’ve been told your whole life, without ever once questioning it all.

Can you give us an example of what you've been told and didn't question? Has this been a "bad" thing to have happened in your life?

For example, Men walking on the moon?

Yes I have questioned men walking on the moon and I came to the conclusion that there have been people who have walked on the moon
