Okay my dearest compadres, I have a challenge for yall.

I was reading thru the prayer list tonight and was so overcome with emotions. There ae so many of us out here with need and are reaching out to others for help. Many are struggling with the belief because they feel like good has abandoned them, it makes me so sad. I just wanna help them with prayer. It has been said in other threads that many people don't read the prayer threads or reply to them and I must be honest and say I havnt been as much as I should.

So I am calling you all out. I do not know if any of you read the prayer threads or read them and just dont reply (like I typically do) but I am challenging all you Single regulars to reply to the prayer threads just to let these Bros and Sis no we care for them.

How about every day you log into CC - read, pray and reply to a minimum of 5 prayer requests. This will be good for all. It will give the others encouragement as well as keep you in intercessory prayer.

After reading your post I realize that I have been failing in my Christian duties to others. I come here for support but rarely do I get the chance to help others. I will gladly offer support where I can. GOD bless and thanks for opening my eyes.

hmmm, very good way of thinking, not that i dont care, i just know i got alot of people on my prayer list already, but i can look at 5, reply and pray immediately for them after so i dont forget, i hate when i forget about someone when im praying makes me feel terrible :(

Sounds great! Like you, I usually just pray and don't say anything if I don't know the person. I imagine that it would be encouraging to them if we actually did type something, just to let them know we really do care and are praying, not just passing by. :)

So how is everyone doing on this prayer challenge? Last night I went to several old posts from about a year ago to see if the people were doing alright. A fem of them responded that they are doing better.

Just checking up on u yall. Keep praying.

ive been praying recently for family at the moment, as well as seeking where God is wanting me to do for a career and a wife :S, aside from my personal end praying for those in New Zealand and Japan and Hawaii suffereing from recent earthquakes and Tsunamis, quite scary :(

I've been checking them out and praying. I've been trying to pray for the most urgent needs and the ones that don't seem to receive much of a response. Thanks for the reminder :)

Luke 11: 2-4

So he said to them: "When you pray say: Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread and forgive us our trespass as we forgive those who trespass against us. Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom and the power forever and ever. Amen"

I think its important that we take time out of our day to help uplift and support others. In that way we can be ears to listen to the prayers of God's people and we can offer a shoulder to cry on.

So how's it going everyone. Are yall still prayin for those in need? I must admit I had been a slacker but I was off CC for about a week, trying to cut down on my late night CC rants. Keep praying, Lord knows we all need it..

Amen, I have a big prayer list I struggle with myself, and because in a lot of cases (on the outside at least) it seems like nothings happening, I have been slack! It's good to come on here and pray about new situations for a change.....it's also for our benefit to pray!

I was just about to log into a website for a prayer request the other day, but they demanded money up front.......so this is a great resource we have, and with prayer a powerful weapon, lets use it!

It's great to think with people from a lot of countries, at any point of the day there's likely to be people logged in, and He that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleeps.........

Indeed, apparently they had too many requests to deal with, but if I was a non Christian, a thing like that could send me in the opposite direction. Anyway, this site = better
