This is a thread about things you miss. Post about stuff from the past, things you miss about yourself, you can even post about things you miss such as freeway exits or your grandma's peach cobbler. Interpret it how ever you like. I'll go first.

I miss…

my dad

I miss...
- The overall care-free simplicity of childhood
- Drawing. I haven't done it in a while due to my busy schedule
- Wax crayons
- Drawing on the sidewalk with coloured chalks
- Playing hopscotch
- The busyness of Christmas and extra blissful atmosphere at home
- Aimless driving down small country roads and spontaneous new adventures
...should resume this soon
- Those good ol' days when my siblings and I used to make music out of kitchen utensils
- Crab and lobster dishes
- Marbles - I used to have a beautiful collection

- Walking barefoot on the wet sand at the beach
- Yo-yos
- Playing with bugs and bird-watching

My dad
My grandma

Being able to go to the bathroom without kids or cats barging in on me.
My friend Pam
My father in law
My brother in Oregon and my sister in Massachusetts.
Going on road trips when ever I felt like it.

Just two: 1) My dad and today, when I came visit my sister´s, I saw a coin on the street that reminded me 2) an answered prayer, when I was a child and prayed with some of my friends (I dislike the way I interpreted it, that day, because I said it was a drunk man who left piles of money for us to go to a circus, and it wasn´t a man, unless he was moved by the heart of God).

I miss having leisure time that I did not specifically carve out and set aside as "time I need for me to keep from going bonkers."
Even then, I tend to feel guilty about it.
Every day, every choice means something else isn't getting done. My life is like unto triage in a battlefield hospital.

I miss a whole stinking lot.

Maybe someday I will feel more freedom through the custody & divorce being final. Know that I have in mind a MINIMUM for what I am willing to accept as a final custody arrangement, and that anything that does not fall within my acceptable range, no matter how the courts label it, is to me unacceptable and that I shall persist until either I have obtained for my children what I believe to be in their best interest or they have aged out and can choose for themselves what is best for them.

I miss...

Sleeping past 7 a.m.
Baking waaay too many Christmas cookies with my mom and sister and brother
Not having to worry about money or bills
Spending summers just wandering all over town with my best friend
The days before I had any idea what cartoons are on what channel
My grandpa
Actually enjoying playing in the snow
My mom, the way she was when I was a kid
The days when everything I ate made me grow taller instead of wider
Summers spent at the pool
My car that I stupidly sold to my sister for 300 bucks
Having time to drive around by myself for hours

With no offense to anyone posting on here...

I miss good quality nostalgia.
The nostalgia these days isn't as good as it was back when I was younger.

I miss:
camping on the beach with my mates, with a bonfire, BBQ and guitars
being that age when you used to see the good in everyone (must work on getting that back...)

I miss being able to not worry about money. I hate having to plot and plan to make sure things get paid and stuff.

I miss not being able to jump in my car and go on a road trip.

I miss sleeping in just because I want to.

I miss working at a job I actually enjoy.
