Do not give what is holy to the dogs; nor cast your pearls before swine (Matthew 7:6)

(I'm not saying your friends are swine, just that it's better to not speak to those who won't listen)
I think this could apply in cases like this. I think the verse means to be sensitive to what your audience is ready for. I still find it troubling that someone that knows your are Christian to promote such evil without a reaction on your part. They might be testing you. If anyone tried to win me over for gay rights they would hear my stance on that right quickly.

"Deade, post: 3676040, member: 265041"]Does she not know that you are Christian and what your stance is on that stuff. You should not be ashamed of your stance when they are promoting their propaganda. Remember, all evil needs to proliferate is for good men to say nothing.

She knows I'm Christian but I don't think she knows my stance[/QUOTE]

Perhaps you should share. There is a right way and a wrong way to do that. Remember, do all thing with compassion. :)

Actually they poke a hole in you with their barbs that are behind the gills and around some fins. The barbs have some kind of poison in them. My son says rub the sting on their belly for relief.

Smoked catfish are pretty good to eat but greasy..my kids loved catching them because theyd put up a good fight on the line!

Question is..how do we KNOW they arent actually istening? I think we still have the responsibility to TELL them whats right especially if you care for tgem but if they dont ive it heed..its on them..not you..

I swear my kids sat indifferent not listening to things ive said..only to hear years later..that they are telling thier kids the exact same thing..they WERE listening..lol

By 'pearls' it means pearls of wisdom... So it means don't bother trying to teach wisdom to those who won't listen.
Yes, I think we can all identify what God is calling dogs and swine. You go into a bar with a bunch of roughians and try to preach Christ at them, they will eat you alive. This can also apply to people that call themselves Christian but have little resemblance to a real Christian. Like on the Reformed Protestant Forum. They are well documented on their erroneous theology. If you try to attack something they hold dear, you had better be ready. They will have you for breakfast.

Once in a while you get someone that is very knowledgeable in the BDF, but most of them are amatuer compared to these guys. They have their church history down to a science and they draw on these Protestant patriarchs writings often. If you are the slightest misinformed they will catch it. Most of us could learn from them, I know I have. Most of them are calvinist. :)

Hahaha... I know what you mean. My step-daughter I had to home-school a lot. We became Christian when she was twelve, so she was taught the right way from then. She would sometimes use my own words on me that I thought she never heard. They pretend to not listen, but they really catch most of it. She would use the same phrases, on her kids, that were used on her.

The only time ive heard it is on this site..ironically..
It might be a generation thing. This whole “catchfish” thing came out in the 2000s I believe, in terms of awareness on the internet. There’s a MTV show about Catfishing as well, your children might have seen it.

Well, at least you know what it’s all about. And that’s what I’m implying here, is even if someone has a pic up in their avatar, it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s them. Just be careful.

Hi Mel, The step-daughter I was talking about stayed with us until she was about 20 and she helped us with some of the fostered black kids. She was one tough cookie. She won't take guff off anyone. When things got tough waiting on the lawsuit money she often put in part of her check to help.

When it came time for us to leave Oakland she was 22 and engaged. So she stayed behind. She was always so giving we felt bad she didn't have a very good car that would bring her home if needed. I prayed about it and the Lord told me to take part of the settlement and buy her something decent. We bought her a low mileage Camaro 1987 model. This was early 1992 we took her older Chevy to Arkansas. It was a good thing we did. She was home within a year.
I just picked this baby up from blue tonight!

Well to be fair she doesn't tag me for it so I have to read I just saw it because I was scrolling through my feed I'll talk to her about it when we hang out next. That's usually the time I share anime and Christian videos with her

Have a great Day friends - I must say however all the human reasoning speculation I read about me and even Karen is simply false so we can cut to that chase - so try to unhear all of that (yeah right) - ;):) ....

Off to work for now but I will try and come in to read what I can. I will come in as I can as well. I think of many here often - and pray for you all as I hope you for me, not out of pity but in earnest faith. I am doing well - life is a journey but I know the engine whom drives me so it is just another chapter and verse to it all ... May God BB Praised today and always!

Karen & I were asking each other what breads we like - I said Dave's Killer 21 grain Bread she mentioned some wet bread & rye - what breads and types do you guys like? :p:geek:...

I like Arnold's Oatmeal bread and Pepridge Farm's Oatmeal bread....
