You don't need to drink grape juice and eat bread wafers to remember what Jesus did for us. :)

He said we should eat it in remembrance of him.... No one made it up, he said it himself and we have to honour that

It isn't one of the 10 commandments but it's a commandment nonetheless.... also, the 10 commandments was before Christ.

You do know it's impossible to keep ALL the commandments, right? I don't take communion. I don't think God will keep me out of heaven for it..

(I Cor 11:23-27) 23 For I received from the Lord what I also delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus on the night when he was betrayed took bread, 24 and when he had given thanks, he broke it, and said, “This is my body which is for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” 25 In the same way also he took the cup, after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.” 26 For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.

I find it interesting that love was not really mentioned in the Old Testament much, if ever. Yet it was clearly the spirit of the law in some respects, with adultery and murder, etc. People had common sense I guess, or more of a relationship with the Lord.

Don't be shy - anyone can join in - and talk about nothing really at all. It doesn't have to flow or make any sense - whatever you wish to say is great! Please keep within the rules of the site though. :)

I'll start:

I like food
Especially a nice pizza with garlic bread and some salad
Pizza, Sushi, Tacos.

I think it's somewhere like 633 comandments total...i know its a lot impossible to keep, is why Christ went to the cross a new covenant was made.

But now Jesus has obtained a superior ministry, since the covenant that he mediates is also better and is enacted on better promises. For if that first covenant had been faultless, there would have been no occasion to look for a second. For he finds fault with them when he says: "Behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will establish a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah, not like the covenant that I made with their fathers on the day when I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt. For they did not continue in my covenant, and so I showed no concern for them, declares the Lord. For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the Lord: I will put my laws into their minds, and write them on their hearts, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. And they shall not teach, each one his neighbor and each one his brother, saying, 'Know the Lord,' for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest. For I will be merciful toward their iniquities, and I will remember their sins no more." In speaking of a new covenant, he makes the first one obsolete. And what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away.

I don't think they had common sense That's why they kept on sinning..so Jesus went to the cross and now we have the Holy Spirit who convicts us...reminds us of what is right and wrong ..That would be the common sense your talking about..and that is what they didn't have back then" The Holy Spirit"

I think Love wasn't displayed until Jesus went to the cross...Jesus is Love and his actions proved it..He gave his life for us..we all know what John 3:16 says.
