I'm crying right now. :( Soooo many people prayed for these kittens, the TK chatters, me, you guys... I'm just... so very sad right now..
Isn't it nice to have people to share your sadness with? We can all laugh together but, we can also cry together! :)
That's right! That's what family is for:

And once again for the 3rd time in a week, seeing these kittens die brings me back to when Tequila went home.. :( I laid here beside her and petted her for 2 hours afterward.

But the question is, WHY after 2 years, have I not grieved over her yet? Why do I keep putting it off? :(
That's so sad. Maybe too painful. People sometimes block out painful memories to like avoid the pain cuz it's just too much.

Yup, same thing with my yard-sale find $5.00 toaster.
It served me well for many years, but when it blew its
circuitry, I did not bother to replace it either :D
I have a feeling you are missing a lot of kitchen appliancies.

Blue, I think you grieve a little every time you talk about it...

Maybe letting it all out at once feels too overwhelming... and even
if you were able to eventually feel that you had done that, you would
still carry the love you had for your precious Tequila with you :)

Umm.. Originally, Ramona had 5: Quimby, Beezus, Huggins, Ribsy and little purple Prince. But Quimby and Prince died.

Rula had 3: T'Challa, Nakia, and Okoye. Okoye just died.

Chloe has 5: Cheddar, Colby. Aura, Fontina and Brie. Aura is the one with the cleft palate.

I'm grateful that these little guys are still here. That Aura is a little fighter. :) But it just truly breaks my heart to see them fade away..

If I could use an emoji to describe me right now, it would be: n.PNG Crying (2).png

At least it was the food that blew up, and not the microwave oven

My microwave oven spontaneously combusted many years ago, and I have not bothered to replace it :p

It is my understanding that microwave ovens need a minimum amount of water to heat or they can burn themselves out. If one is heating a pastry, for example, one should put a cup of water in with it because there is not enough water in the pastry for the microwave to work with.

This was the case in the olden days, twenty to thirty years ago. Check your user's manual to see for sure. If you don't have it, you might find it online.

She was gaining good til yesterday, but lost 12 grams overnight..
I was watching the feed yesterday evening/night, when Shelly first caught the weight loss (or was it lack of appropriate weight gain?), and started tube feeding. It was a sudden turn that surely seemed ominous :(

Yeah, Aura will need to be tube fed until they can possibly do reconstructive surgery on her, and that will not be for quite some time, and even if she makes it that far, the surgery is not guaranteed to bring her completely out of the woods, as it were, because her cleft is so pervasive. The chances of her aspirating food and getting pneumonia in the meantime are pretty high.

I don't use anything but the microwave. Before I was married I turned the gas off to my stove because I never used it.
