Hey, Monnkai, God's blessing on you and the surgeons for your upcoming medical procedure! Yes, Sound of Silence is probably one of Simon and Garfunkle's most well known and loved songs. The Sounds of Silence was released in 1964, when I was nine years old I was very fortunate to have many siblings, some of whom exposed me to their various musical tastes in pop music at the time. My daughter is just a few years older than you are, and has helped me stay a bit in touch with some of the more current artists. It has been fun over the years, to point out to her that some of the songs she likes, were not original to the artists she was used to hearing, but from artists of my generation
