How do you meditate? What have you sought out to understand that questions answer yet? To meditate is to take what the Lord thru your spirit shows you in stillness and listening intuitively and thru the alive and active Word and in relations with the Holy Spirit place your mind in Christ as well - It is more than just thinking however, it is letting you and the Spirit of God ponder and think deeply and focus on the subject at hand or the verse in your hand and heart. Doing all of this over a period of time. The Bible says they meditated on the Word day and night.
You must consider the things to understand all things which are new to you in revelation from God. Many people say we are to not think just trust God in faith. But faith is to also think by placing your mind in what the Spirit leads you with in spirit. In fact, many Christians don't think enough at all! God employees our minds to come along side Him in Spiritual truth and bear witness to His truth.
(Colossians 3:1-4):
Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.
Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. (Josh. 1:8).
