@SnackersMom

All I wanted to demonstrate is that as humans we judge by appearance whether we like it or not. This thread has only turned into logs vs. splinters. You helped prove my point with the foot issue. We all have a threshold. There is always something we'll find unattractive.

By American standards I'm an unattractive nerdy zitted white peudo-redneck country bumpkin. I don't have a six-pack. I'm a bit overweight, I can't run to save my life, I'm unathletic, and couldn't catch anything to save my life.

I'll never appear in a Gilette Ad.

I don't care what the world thinks. Why can't we be more like that? Isn't that what we Christians are supposed to be like? Yet all I see in the singles forum is stuff like this thread. Irks me.

I'm more like the guy on the right.

I really do have an 87' GMC Sierra clasic. I don't expect to be dating Paris Hilton-ites, and to be honest really don't want to. I'm not at all disappointed to admit that I have faults and flaws, and am not the hawtie on the block.

I doubt that any of us is exactly happy with the way we look, huh? :) I don't like my nose or my chin, especially if I lose too much weight.

I think the key is to play up the features we DO like.

I see where you are coming from, Mr. Diggs, And I agree with you, for the most part (not the toenail fungus part, there is nothing wrong with finding improper hygiene unattractive :)). I am not one who worries about physical appearance, trust me. But I was bothered that feelings were clearly hurt, and no apologies were offered. Not everyone is as secure with their appearance as you are, although it is something that we can all certainly aspire to :). I agree, this thread was doomed from the start. I shall post in it no further, even if someone says something totally outrageous

I believe that this comment was intended for me, so let me clarify. I was not trying to keep the racist argument going, but some hurtful things were said, and not apologized for. Forgiveness is much easier to come by when there are apologies, and I didn't any. My "inner mom" felt the need to point that out, and I do not apologize for doing so, nor do I feel convicted over my post.

Mr. Diggs: I did not know that you were insulting your own race. I now feel strangely amused. Still, I stand by my opinion that your comment was not helpful. However, I did not take away any rep points over it, if that helps at all :) Jesus does not think that any of us are lame. As to your insinuation that I find everyone on the planet to be attractive, that is not what I said, and you know it. I said that we are all beautiful in the sight of God, and that I find Filipinos to be attractive people, which is true. As to your pictures, I never said that toenail fungus was "hawt," so don't be ridiculous. The two guys, however, both seemed to be comfortable with themselves and enjoying life, and I find that very attractive. That doesn't mean that I would take them home to meet mama, but I wouldn't rule it out, either, if God said "He's the one". And I mean that, weather you are willing to believe it, or not.

Zeroturbulence: Thank you for your kind words, I appreciate them muchly. :) I hope that you can forgive process architect, if he ever feels the need to apologize.

Well, my "inner mom" tells me not to get involved in other peoples squabbles. Sure, maybe there is a need for a mediator. That is why there are mods. Zero reported the post that was offensive which is what she should have done. She stated she had done so. She also made it clear she did not appreciate the comment. I just don't see why others feel the need to jump in. This is a forum. Not an elementary school playground.

How many countries on this list are white?

Also, what does it matter how many people there are of a specific race? This just sounds like prejudice to me.

That's racist! (although I would agree, part of why I said white people are lame)

In all likelyhood, Jesus was not the Scandinavian he is so properly portrayed as.

Why does this matter though? Do you love Jesus for Jesus, or love Jesus for his skin color? If you answer the first, why bother remarking on the latter? Is it somehow prejudice of God to have Jesus have been a Jewish Carpenter who in all likelyhood was not a white european?

I know Jesus wasn't white from all likelyhood, and that doesn't stop me. My love for Christ isn't skin deep. I don't think your love for Christ is skin deep either. So let's not make that an issue, shall we?

What does it matter? We all know the paintings aren't accurate, as anyone who sees the father doesn't live!

Why do you hate old rich white men? White people have all the power and money, right? That's racist!

That's because they were WASPs.... What does it matter what Americas notable figures look like, over say, the Phillipines, Japan, Germany, Chad, or any other country? This is to be expected and is on the verge of a non-sequitor. It doesn't add up to what you think it does (atleast seem to think by your post).

If I went with you to the Phillipines to visit, and I got off the airplane and said, "Wait, where's all the white anglo-saxon protestants?" You're response probably would be short of, "Dude, Dustin, are you like... retarded? This isn't Western Europe dummy!"

That's because they're the royal family of the United Kingdom.

That'd be like me complaining about the royal family of Tonga not being white europeans.

Where's all the white kings!?!?!!?(oh yeah, europe.)

This is a matter of economics. The only other option to reach such a level is bollywood, and if I recall it produces more film than Hollywood, but I won't press that.

What does it matter who is succesful on worldly terms though? We're Christians, we're in the world, but not of it!

I don't care who is succesful on worldly terms. I know that isn't my goal. I am to die to myself daily.

Now, I propose that this thread be ignored and go to the bottom. The problem of the thread is asking sinful humans what they think of the physical appearances of sinful humans.
I never said anything negative about white people. I AM NOT A RACIST! You asked me why I don't think your comment is on the same level as what that guy said and I ANSWERED YOU. Thats all I did.

First of all, I'm not yelling here but since you are accusing me of something very serious, I want to make SURE I GET MY POINT ACROSS. :)

For the record, EVERY WOMAN I EVER DATED AND FELL IN LOVE WITH WAS WHITE. Except one, who was korean. PLUS, EVERY ONE OF MY FRIENDS IS AND WAS WHITE.

I noticed that you seem to think that itemizing your answers makes them more credible somehow. It just makes them harder to read if you ask me.

The Ugly duckling was a beautiful story.
Wonderful ending also.
After never fitting in , always being "ugly" and different.....
He one day spreads his wings and a woman swan falls inlove with him and he was no duck, he was a swan....
aaa
How I love a happy ending like that.Specially after all the hurt etc he had had.

:) It is indeed and I also feel that way
Thank you, Victoria but it applies much more to you seeing how you have become an attractive lady (I remember your story from another thread). I still have a ways to go.

I think white people are ugly. Attractiveness is most generally a fleshy quasi lusty issue though.

White people are also pretty lame.
Guess I'm supposed to go jump off a bridge then because that would make me both ugly and lame... even more so if you calculate in how pale I am. Oh well, I'll take that over being a prick.

I was attempting to draw out the arbitrariness taking place, in which success was granted. I myself, am white as well. I really don't care what skin color people are.

EDIT:
As a side note: I find it quite interesting that there is a popular politcally correct notion that only white people are ever racist.

I think we are never satisfied with how we look...we always want more than what we already have (not only in the way we look but in all other aspects too). Personally, I think everybody has qualities that make them look beautiful. Someone once said "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder"... What may look ugly to me is beautiful for another person and vice versa. So, someone in the world thinks each one of us is beautiful...all we have to do is find him/her. That's my two cents :D

I was thinking about beauty and i think that the most beautiful thing is not if we are happy with the way we look or not, but is that if we ask to the ppl that love us , they will answer that we are very beautiful.

So i would like to encourage ppl here to ask at least 1 person who love you if they think you are beautiful or not........

Have you ever noticed the most popular threads are the negative ones? :p

*pauses and thinks*

I try and have loving eyes. I'm from a small community, and whenever I got out of town and see the crowds of people within the confines of a cityblock, or an airport. I'm just amazed with how many people God graced my eyes with each and every one. Whenever negativity strikes my mind, I try and tell myself God created each and every one of them. Be them divided with how they talk, think, and live. I try and do unto them as I'd like to be done unto me. It's kinda hard to turn away the beggars hand. It's hard not to ignore the tip jar. :p It's hard for me not to acknowledge the ladies, elders, and families, whom I open the door for. I don't do this to impress, but I do this beacuse I want to.

Each and every face has their place in God's plan. I might as well try my best to respect what is God's.

I have come to the realization that beauty is overrated. I mean after you seen what is considered beautiful the first few times it becomes just another face or look and then what you are left with is the character. Took a lot of pressure off of me. To besides every dog has its bone
