You can't pick Caleb, i picked it first! *poke
Guess you two will just have to both be Caleb's parents... oh wait, that's the matchmaker thread... I've been gone too long. LOL.

Our high school band director had one child only. Melody.

I think naming kids can be really cruel.
Texas Governor Jim Hogg named his daughter Ima.
NC had a governor named Zebulon Baird Vance
The Texas grocery chain HEB was named after its founder Harry Edward Butts... I guess Eddie's was taken.
I grew up with Andrea Suzanne Smith.
I had Carl Marx in gym class with me.
I think Leonard is a terrible name to inflict on a child, but not as bad as my nephew's. (PM me for that one, i'm not posting it.)
I carefully considered what sort of horrid things could be made out of a name before letting my kids be named something regretful. All the nicknames, rhymes withs, sounds likes, initials could also mean... I explored the angles as best I could. Kids can be cruel. I didn't want to leave too many cracks in the armor.

Should I have children, I will be very picky about their names. There are a few names I won't consider because when they're shortened, I don't like them. However, if it's a family name, compromise is possible. Because my father named me while my mother was in recovery, I plan on having my mother or friend or a nurse guard against my husband sneaking off to name our child something weird. I'm hoping I can trust him not to do something like that though... But men are weird; y'all do interesting stuff.

I'm ok with that.

But yeah, i got lucky, i was named after my dad. At the last minute. After i was born. My parents planned on naming me after my uncle. Thankfully they came to their senses when i was born. So i was almost .... Delmar... pronounced Del Mar. 0.o

What's your real name? If I promise to always let you beat me at WWF, will you tell me? Of course, you'll probably always beat me anyway, so this deal isn't really all that wise...

My parents almost named me Paul (because my Mom loved the Beatles) or Mario.
Thank God they settled with what they did...a nice boring 1st name...because my middle name is insane. All I will say,is apparently I am named after a famous Italian race car driver of the 40's or 50's...lol I never bothered to research that fact. I am going on what the parents told me. My Dad was into cars big time! Many people love my middle name even though I think it sounds ridiculous. A couple in my old church actually loved my middle name so much, after they were married & had their daughter they took my middle name & mixed it with another name or something like that, and it's now their daughter's name. (poor child):p

My mom told me why she picked 'Cristen' for me.

"Because it's just so girly and reminded me of butterflies and..." I tuned out about there.

I did thank her for not naming me Louise like she wanted to.

my older brother has a common 1st name, it was problematic in the 1st 3 years of his life, so when i came along they had a list of names they liked, then asked the charge nurse what was popular and scratched those all off the list. My name is not uncommon, but does evoke more of a "gold letters on an frosted glass office door with three letters behind it" image than "seven guys at a hot dog stand all say, hey, that's my name, too" kind of thing.
Blissfully, I do not share any part of my name with Donald Trump. There is someone semi famous that I share 1/3 of my name with, but he is more known for being handsome or something (instead of being a rich jerk with plastic hair).

Your name is rather classic. And you're known for being a rich guy with plastic hair?

This may be passing top-secret information to the enemy, but I would like to point out that it would take much less than nukes or laser beams to get rid of me.

Just release a bunch of bees in my vicinity and I'll *POOF* disappear.

Xerces...Arta-Xerces...Sparta-Xerces!!!

^^ Lol! How about...Zafnat-Paaneah (God lives and He speaks)? Actually, there are some hilarious names from the Bible you could name your children! Don't get me wrong...the meaning could be cool and everything, but that kid is going to have a hard time on the playground...

How 'bout Nebuchadnezzar?? Lol!

Yeah, did you not get the memo? I thought I mentioned you passed the interview process for the master plan. Hmm, sorry about that. Anyway! I was thinking that because you have experience with infiltrating governments via music and training operatives, you could recruit others to... this isn't a secure connection. I'll email you the rest.
