How about a man, when you lay your head on his chest, every heartbeat sounds like: I love you.

Fair enough. I agree that we do have many issues within the church here in the States. It seems to be getting worse.
Yeah. Which is why people need to start taking their faith seriously and quit giving into fear, intimidation, and perpetrators who happen to be loved ones.

And the reputation of an institution is never more important than the people involved. God doesn't care about reputation. He cares about people. I don't care if the church is the bride of Christ. We may live in an age of grace, but she is not above reproach and discipline. To those who say, "Oh, if you insult my wife, you hate me," I call BS. I'm going to tell a man if his wife is cheating on him and ruining other people's lives.

And for the record, the Israelites in the Old Testament used the exact same excuse. Israel was seen as God's wife, and she said, "Oh I'm God's chosen, he would never judge me!" Yeah, she said that while conveniently forgetting the warnings in Deuteronomy. She basically gave God the finger and prostituted herself. Seriously, the Israelites did things that would SHOCK us nowadays.

The prophets had the unenviable task of trying to get her to turn from her ways, but she refused to listen to all the warnings. So God had no choice but to send Babylon to take them into exile and burn their beloved Jerusalem to the ground. She didn't keep her word, but he most certainly did.

I only really did that with my father, years ago, when I was small enough to fit in his lap.
How about a man that walks up behind you, wraps his arms around you from behind, and kisses you on the side of your neck?

Wow that is very interesting. HistoryPrincess, are you a prophet?
Also, I am curious...has someone from the church hurt you? I'm sorry if they did. :(

I would have to find someone who's even remotely interested in me. Slim chance of that happening given I'm 24 and have never been asked out once.

I'm not sure, I'm just saying this has happened before, and the results were not pretty.

I don't have to be hurt to take this seriously.

How about a man, who is so passionate about his want and desire for you, he can't get you close enough?

And he would have to know what he's signing up for.
But, wouldn't it be wonderful to know another human being, someone you can literally touch, not just God in heaven, wanted you that much?

That would be very nice. But I want to be realistic. If I wanted to go on a romantic high, I'd do drugs. Besides, I'm used to relying on myself.

I was married once. It was wonderful. It's not promised, but is something you can make yourself available for.
The other thing is that I'm on the autism spectrum. Relationships in terms of emotionally connecting is hard for me. I have a hard enough time with my family. And despite my years of attempts to make friends, I haven't had one close friend in years.
