It might seem like it would be a good place to try, but I've never yet seen it work out for anybody who comes here looking for somebody.

The way to find people to talk with around here is to post a thread about something you'd like to talk about or discuss and see who answers and what they say. Or just browse the threads and respond to any on the first couple of pages that interest you (after the first couple pages you're getting to threads so old that most of us don't remember them well and someone will say you're pulling up zombie threads if you post in one of those).
