So THAT'S why I'm still single! I don't have Facebook! Or twitter or snapchat or instagram or... anything except this forum really, and this forum has never gotten me one single date.

Thanks man, I'm gonna go sign up for FB right now! (And then I'm going to flap my arms and fly to the moon, where I will build the universes biggest sand castle for me and my future wife to live in... yeah, none of these things will actually happen.) :p
IKR I also hate pictures so social media is a no? BUT I might try and get into it eventually I just don't care very much right now though. it should be fairly easy to meet people on there and texting is always easier then actually talking to people especially when you like them sooooooo

I don't know about cute, but he is going to have to make a move if he's into this girl.

She may like him too, but she doesn't think he's into her, cause he won't make a move.

And to the OP....

Don't be scared of some rejection. I promise you, no woman has ever gone around and ridiculed a guy for asking her out.
At least we don't ridicule them to their face (or intentionally to their friends). But there's at least one strange guy I met who didn't seem to understand that I would have no use for your phone number meant that he was wasting his time trying to connect with me.

But I have to agree that generally anyone is more flattered than anything else to have someone show genuine interest, even if it's super awkward.

I'd just walk up to you, and tell you to put your number in my phone, and you would do it.

Maybe girls are different around there. I have heard a lot of girls ridiculing guys who asked them out. Mostly they talked (a whole LOT) about the qualities of the guys that disqualified them from being eligible for a date with the girls they were asking out.

And this is in the South, where we're supposedly real polite to people... to your face. I guess we don't have any trouble being rude behind people's backs.

You need to stop hanging around girls like that. You're too old for the friend zone.

No I wouldn't. At least not before interrogating you on why you wanted the number. But just to give a random stranger who walks up to me my phone number with no purposeful event in mind (and no I wouldn't consider dating a random stranger who just walked up to me in a public place), nope not likely to happen.

Yeah, I didn't think that idea would go over too well. >.>

But frankly my first thought is, if the girl is the kind of girl who would give her number to any strange guy who asked her, do you WANT her number? Uh... nope nope nope nope.

Better luck next time Tommy.

I'm no random stranger. I'm Tommy of Virginia, and you are already thinking about me.

Let the interrogation begin.

My brain automatically pops up a quote from the first Austin Powers movie, something about a certain woman being like a village bicycle.

Don't talk about cinder like that. I will fight you to defend her honor.

Well I don't think about you any more than my other online friends and I've always been kind enough not to verbalize the negative things I think when I think about you :p

But, you are thinking about me. And that's a good start.

Besides, I know you like Tommy, you've responded to more of my post in the past 24 hours, than you have in 2 years.

The man has a point.....i mean if she accepts your number that easily how many other guys could she be talking to? And what weird person just gives away her number from some random dude like i feel that was a weird thing a bunch of teens did at the mall idk if i wanna marry a girl like that lol. I think most younger girls would talk about guys though so if you're just going to start flirting with women all whilly nilly or whatever don't do it until you're like 30 unless you can handle that. Here's another question though does a Christian girl really want a guy that has a history of asking a bunch of girls for their numbers anyway? Like idk if i wouldn't like it I'm sure there are tons of girls especially Christian ones who would look at that and just be completely turned off right? I could be wrong COULD but if i just talk to females all the time what makes anything about a specific girl special? It seems like you just kinda play with people imo I'd rather not butttt i could be totally wrong idk.........

I still can't read your writing.

For the love of God, please enroll in a college composition class.

I know, I know....

We just can't be giving our digits to a person we just met, so we could communicate, and get to know eachother.

Maybe they should text each other first.

Oh wait.....

I had Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram once, but I deleted those accounts. Social media no longer appeals to me. At least I have forums.

Oh, I do admit that I'm on nosleep/reddit. The stories there are great and I love to read them, and perhaps even write some of my own, although I haven't gotten to it yet. 🐔😋
