I don't accept people I know on facebook.

But no, I've actually never received a random friend request without having some knowledge of who they are.

Not unless me have a strong mutual friend network. Most are fake accounts just set up or stole. I had to show my grandma how to protect her account. Some fool cloned her account then sent me a friend request.

FB can be a useful tool to keep up with dear close friends and family scattered all over the country. It can also be a huge pain in the rump.

I have exactly 43 friends on fb..most are family and relatives and 5 friends. I dont need a ton of "cyber" friends to find importance in my life and it also keeps my account safer ;) ive had the most problems with online dating sites stealing pics and creating fake profiles..
