Yeah,I've noticed God's been doing something in my heart lately & I really don't know how to put it into words without making it seem lame. Matt always shares a scripture or two with me out of the blue in text...he rocks like that! Sometimes I wish we all lived at least in the same state. Can you imagine the worship services we could have?

I know exactly what you mean tore!

Chrissy I just want to tell you .. your posts make it real easy for the holy spirit to flow and be free .. I enjoy going to them .. My mind tends to wander where the spirit leads.. it's not that I'm trying to be rebellious in other posts, i just go the direction the spirit is going .. I find it alive and well , outside the box as you open the door in the spirit for it to be as well.. I just wanted to say thank you .. you have the gift of hospitality I'm seeing .. that is a " big gift "in a body with such diversity..

My little children,let us not love in word or in tongue,but in deed and truth.
And by this we know that we are of the truth,and shall assure our hearts before Him.
For if our heart condemns us ,God is greater than our heart,and knows all things.
Beloved,if our heart does not condemn us,we have confidence toward God
1 John 3:18-21

Wow!.....GOD IS GREATER THAN OUR HEART AND KNOWS ALL THINGS...I don't know about anyone else,but that comforts me big time!
His grace through Jesus is so amazing. I feel like I am just getting a glimpse of how deep it runs...permeates throughout my faith in Him. It is truly at the core of all Jesus did for us on the cross. Pretty awesome!
Just thought I'd share that.:)

Isaiah 58: 8-11
Then your light will break forth like the dawn,
and your healing will quickly appear;
then your righteousness will go before you,
and the glory of the Lord will be your rear guard.
Then you will call, and the Lord will answer;
you will cry for help, and he will say: Here am I.“If you do away with the yoke of oppression,
with the pointing finger and malicious talk,
and if you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry
and satisfy the needs of the oppressed,
then your light will rise in the darkness,
and your night will become like the noonday.
The Lord will guide you always;
he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land
and will strengthen your frame.
You will be like a well-watered garden,
like a spring whose waters never fail.

The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he, who in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee.

...the need and desire to re-align oneself with ones destiny in God is paramount before all things; then all else follows in turn..., and life becomes very very surprising indeed...:)

I am reminded today of when Jesus responded to the Pharisees when asked why it was his disciples did not follow the traditions of the elders & ate bread with unwashed hands? His response being that they were hypocrites..that they honored God with their lips,but their hearts were so far from Him...that they worshiped in vain & taught doctrines as the commandments of men.
They put aside the commandments of God,so that they could cling to stupid tradition!
What am I filled with?
The grace & love of Jesus...or my own wisdom,my own doctrines...my own poison???
What I put in me should be the things of Christ...because what comes out should always reflect something of God.
He is worthy of all of me & more...but all He asks is for me to walk & rest in Him...to draw near to Him,to lay my unbelief,my dreams,my hope,my sorrow,my cares,my all at His feet & put on the garment of praise & righteousness through Christ Jesus. It's not a difficult request. All he wants is me. I give myself over to so many other things that are meaningless. How can I refuse my Father...my Creator...my Hope that is all things now & to ever become????

Not my will but His. This day. Everyday.
I so long not to be someone who is chasing after things that will not glorify God.
I so long to be the man He's designed me to be...whatever it is...whatever capacity...
a friend. a husband. a father. a role model. a witness. a servant.
I wish nothing more than to not cheapen the word of God or to in any way make light of the price Jesus paid for me.
I want to rest in knowing that no matter what Jesus calls me to do,He has already equipped me to do it. I only have to receive what's already freely given.
Thank you Lord for that gift!

My prayer today is for all those that are struggling with finances,depression,lack of communication,poor self worth or image,worry,doubt,frustration,loneliness or just plain feeling stagnant in your walk with God.
I pray that Jesus by His Spirit remove the blinders & deception laid in front of us that the enemy has set there to try & knock us off track. Those things that try to take our attention & focus off of you,Lord God. We choose this day whom we will serve...and that choice is YOU Father. Not ourselves. Not our jobs. Not our feelings. Not our bank accounts. Not even our loved ones. Because if our eyes & hearts & minds are not set on you Father...everything else is meaningless & we cannot fulfill or manage in doing or being a blessing in those things without you guiding us. Lord I ask that we begin to see ourselves more & more each day the way you see us. More than conquerors....righteous sons & daughters of the Most High God!
You have given us the mind of Christ & the Spirit of truth. Help us to lean not unto our understanding,but to place that trust in you. You are truly a faithful & merciful God. I pray that you strengthen the hearts & minds of all those here Father. Fill them with you joy. We cast our burdens & cares at the feet of Jesus this day & we choose not to pick them back up. Thank you for guiding us into your plan for today & each day,no matter how big or small it may be...we want nothing but to walk in the truth of your word. Thank you Lord for everything! In Jesus name, AMEN!
