I don't have periods anymore, thank God. :) Uterine cancer ended them for me. God works miracles in the strangest and scariest of situations. :) If I hadn't had a pap smear done, I never would have known I had cancer til it was too late and I wouldn't be here today with all of you wonderful people. :)

I wish men would experience a period. I really do, I think it would stop insensitive remarks, example, you're having a bad day and I've been asked, are you on your period? II've responded, no but if you don't leave you're gonna have summer teeth, some will be missing.

fenner, i really agree with you about that. however, i will also say, it's been a long time since i've had a remark like that said to me, and when i see/hear others make such a remark, i kind of think it reflects more poorly on them than the person they intend to insult.

actually, one of my big pet peeves that goes along with this is when women use this as an excuse to be cranky, insensitive or otherwise ill-behaved. it's okay to not feel good, but when it becomes a permission to act out, it's frustrating to me.

i don't care how badly anyone feels, it's no excuse to be rude. and i'd say the same thing when guys use any kind of medical condition or mood to do the same thing. it's a cop-out.

Me too! Except when it comes to coffee. Me being a jerk to people because I have been deprived of caffeine is totally excusable!

...and chocolate.
