My avatar is a photo of me leaning my hand and head on top of my wooden cross. It doesn't hold any specific meaning, just a thought I had for a photo.

On a related note, Popclick is not only using a photo from Julianna's photo album for her avatar, she also once asked me if she could use my photo of myself at six years-old for her avatar. But I told her no, it would not be appropriate for a person to use someone else's portrait as an avatar.

I think she's still disappointed about it!!!
:p Okay, I totally did NOT ask that, but now I'm thinking I should take your kiddo pic as my avatar anyways, just 'cause I can.

I've changed my avatar. The words say The Venn diagram of guys who don't like smart girls, and guys you don't want to date is a circle. I think it's hilarious and very true. :)

Mine is William A Rusher, the publisher of National Review. He was one of the unsung heroes of the Conservative movement, so I sing his praises, hahaha.

A man of great character who bridged the gap between activists on the grassroots and higher level movement strategists/political philosophers. Equally at home in the library, the boardroom, and the political convention and the same man on nearly every occasion. He died with both integrity and political accomplishment; something that never happens.

The best part is that few have heard of him and that was his choice. You can have a profound impact in the world and lead a private life all at once. It's tough, but it's possible and something I want to do.

My avatar is a picture of a young woman on her knees in prayer. I found it online and used it because it reminded me of where I need to be every day.

Let's play a game!

Two parameters:

1. Explain your current avatar. What is it? Why did you choose it?

2. When you change to an avatar you have never used before, tell your friends why!

If you change your avatar often, so much the better. It will give us things to talk about.

Derailments are also completely acceptable, as the general idea is to stimulate conversation with a stream of pictures.

Banzai!
I was listening to the song God of This City (I posted the video in the music forum if anyone wants to check it out). The words are an encouragement.

It's one of my dogs. He's cute, old, grumpy and I love him so he deserves the spot.

A heart made of water speaks to me for some reason. Water is emotion in the dream interpretation world. And as an emotional person, this avatar suits me.

That, and I just thought it was a pretty avatar. :)

I don't understand it :( Can you explain?

Well, we have 8 and 4 talking about 6 and -1 being square rooted. 6 is the child of 8 and 4 because it's in between them, and they say that 6 has an imaginary friend because the square root of -1 is an imaginary number. :D
