OK, let's say you have a serious physical impairment and you are going to die within minutes. You only have time to write one short note to one person.

Who would you write your note to, and what would you write to them?

To my beloved family:
I always loved each of you, and hope the best for you. Do not cry for me. I have gone to a much better place. Remember the good times we shared as a family, full of love and caring. One thing you should know, I have kept my life's fortune in a safe place waiting until I pass on. I have scrimped and saved my entire life so that you all can live more comfortably and securely. I have hidden this large sum of money right under the

Wow, what a question. I want to think about it some more, but that defeats the purpose of only having minutes to live, huh?

I would write down the passwords to any pertinent online/bank-related stuff. Whoever found me dead could have them. :p

My beloved son: I'm going to be with our Lord. Please continue to live for Him and in Him, and teach others to do the same, especially your children if you have them (and I hope you do). You have brought me nothing but joy from the day I first learned of you and I love you more than words can say.

My oldest son, tell your brother and sister I love them.

P.S. If you don't play Zeppelins "In My Time of Dying" at my funeral I'm going to be super ticked.

In some senses I kind of have done this for a momma of a student of mine at school a few years back. She was dying of cancer and had only weeks left to live and so I decided that I wanted her to know how great I thought her son was and how great of a job she had done raising him and how proud she should be. I then had it translated into Spanish and gave it to the family. I have no idea if it was read to her or not, but I would have gone there and told her myself if I could have. I just really felt God laying it on my heart to let her know that she had done a great job raising her son(s).

Why do wait to tell people things like that anyways?

With the recent loss in my family, I have seen how those around me are struggling and how a note would be something to treasure. I just wrote a letter to my family incase something like this happens. BUT if only given a few minutes, it would be:

"To my family, I love you so much! I get to go be with the Lord our Savior. Draw close to God, so we can see each other again. Be happy for me."

traveler101 makes a great point: Don't wait to tell people what you think and feel.

To my family, friends, and Church family:

I am going to a better place. Do not mourn me, I'll see you there one day.

It's been interesting reading the comments. I think I would write down my favorite Bible verse and a short message to my mom.

I am going to a better place and will see you shortly. Keep the faith. "For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us."

That's a really interesting question........

I WOULD try to come up with something to post, but I know in reality I'd probably spent too much time over-thinking what I wanted to say, and end up dying with a blank piece of paper in my hand.

Sure, that's pathetic, but I'm just being honest! :p

I think I would say or write "my journey doesn't end here", short and meaningful and true.
