*raises hand and waves it frantically*

YOU HAVE TO TRY IT! Marshmallows (and brown sugar) make sweet potatoes into a divine dessert dish that should be on every single Thanksgiving table in this country! And in every other country. You can start this trend Tintin. You can change the world.

It's like... sweet potato pie with whipped cream. Except better.

Um. Can I still be your brother in Christ if I mention that I don't like sweet potato? :p I'm still curious to try this combination though. Just once.

Haha....I love this! I felt the same way until I had it with pecans, butter, and brown sugar--no marshmallows. Decadent!

When I was a kid, I liked to eat peanut butter and sweet pickle sandwiches. Now it doesn't sound so appealing.

Now you're talking! The pecans give that dish...well, everything!

Boiled slime ridden atrocious belly-turning okra. If you cut it up in little chunks and cover it completely with an inch of egg batter and fry it for a day and a half, I can tolerate it being in the house, but boiled or steamed okra that you bite in to with a burst of oozing mucus and gunge laden with unearthly seedpods at first bite, and then chew the left over fibrous weed hull for an hour is not my idea of fine eating.

Egg batter? We usually fry okra in cornmeal. But yeah, the only way to tolerate okra is fried. Boiled okra is... it's just...

That is, what I mean to say is it's...

I can't describe it. Ever since I became a christian I don't use those words any more. :p

But then I'm in the south - they know how to make good food here, but not always the correct terms for it.
"That's right -- priorities, ya know..." ;)

nope. Nope nope nope. I love sweet potatoes, but I cook them savory, like regular potatoes. Salt, pepper, garlic, and a little cayenne. I especially like making sweet potato fries. OM NOM NOM
