I picked up one called Ruach Aotearoa A call to radical prayer by Lynn Isaac

Ruach means Wind or Breath or Spirit in Hebrew
Aoteoaroa is translated as 'land of the long white cloud'

Am about to read it. it just stood out for me. Was an op shop find but you do find interesting books anywhere

One of the best devotionals I found was in an op shop and nobody had written in it
It was called The Beauty of the Lord and had 365 devotions for women..I read it everyday. It had a ribbon bookmark too so I always knew were I got up to.

I think if you can...give or send devotionals to help new believers make a daily habit of reading the word. A page a day can go very far.

I'm debating if I want to buy Neil deGrasse Tyson's new book on audiobook or wait a little while and see if someone will upload it to YouTube

ONE year Wisdom for women devotional by Debbi Bryson

I met the author at a conference she said her book was a hit in prison lol

The One Year bibles are good for new believers, I think you got to commit to reading the Bible everyday to get the word in you. Once youve dont that you'll be free but you got to do the reading first. Put in that time with God. Proverbs is the best to start with as each proverb is just one short sentence but meaningful.

She said people would leave her books in bus stops for others to read.

Speaking of prisons, apparently Joyce Meyers Battlefield of the Mind is the most popular.
I think I would recommend her books esp to womens refuges, she ministers to hurting women.

And from what I know, thousands have been reached by her. In a mans world, we need womens voices who are often silenced in a traditional church setting.

Yesterday a girl shared with me she read the story of the walls of Jericho falling in the Samoan bible.

The Lions childrens Bible has geen translated into many langauges, but most of the time the children just look at the pictures and retell the story if they cant read, as theyve heard it being read to them

Everyone should be able to retell a bible story because theyve memorised it and know it by heart. You should be able to retell any story and recount any plot from the Bible and have it be true and have a child understand it - just as everyone knows how to tell the story of the 3 little pigs, everyone ought to know at least ten stories from the Bible.
