May I venture to say that I know what your talking about? At least, I've had that dream. The one where you seem to have something that you've been missing for a long time. Even though it's a good dream it makes waking up tough.
Yep yep it does indeed.

I've had dreams similar to that one. More than once too. I hate them. I have asked my mom if I was ever sexually abused and she tells me that I never have been. So I don't understand why I would have those dreams. But I gotta say, I definitely sympathize with those people who have been through such experiences. It's very scary and when I wake up, I praise God it was just a dream!

I've also had the good dreams that some are talking about on here. Usually I am talking to a long lost friend/someone I used to really like or have finished my degree and I feel so good. Then I wake up and I'm sad. There is a particular friend in mind that I used to be really close to. I really adored him. I haven't seen or spoken to him in about 10 years though. I still dream him sometimes. :(

I usually hope I don't dream. If it's a scary dream, I'm left feeling insecure. If it's a good dream, I'm left feeling sad that it's not true.

I once dream that I walked with Jesus though. I was a child in the dream and he was holding my hand. We talked and it was great. That was a very special dream and those are welcome.

Although it was just a simple dream it left me feeling horrible. I dreamt I met what I thought was a nice God fearing man . I went over to his house with good intentions we were praying then out of nowhere he tries to sexually assault me. I get scared try to get out of his house afraid he is going to rape me.I plead with him to let me go and I'm looking out the window praying"God I'm scared let me go tell him to let me go!"I hit him and manage to get out of his house. While I'm outside all I want is to run get far away except I realize I'm utterly lost and I can't find my car.
I woke up shaken up. I tried to analyze it.
You just had a nightmare is all. No biggie, let it go. :)

Laying in your bathtub, and full of compassion for them is connected: immersed in compassion. Compassion if from the Holy Spirit, even with Jesus, "He was moved with compassion and healed them." Don't miss the point in this case, God's compassion took one home. I don't claim to be a good interpreter or communicator, but fascinated by mysteries and God sais "Seek and you shall find." Interpreting doesn't make us more mature, Love does, in communicating well. Also "Now we see dimly, but then face to face.'
I think the bathtub represented those baptized.

Have you ask the HOLY SPIRIT to interpret the dream for you or to make you understand what the dream meant?
If not, do so. HE was sent to help us in all things and to teach us all things.

Or dreaming that someone you love was finally saved, only to wake up and realize they are still lost... I hate that.

Oh I'm sorry that happened to you, Lilbit. :(

In my case, it was today's reality that has left me shaken (but that's a whole other story...)

About 3 years ago I dreamed someone I knew was walking toward me and at the last second he pulled out a old fashioned barbers razor and lunged to cut my face. I woke up in a literal startle with an audible loud gasp.

Had a warm feeling from this dream I had last night, but shortly after I woke up it turned into a bit of a downer.
I dreamed of my deceased wife. I usually do not dream of her. Maybe about 4 times in the last 3 years. I dreamed we were on a couch having a pleasant conversation.
I woke up and thought that was a nice dream. It almost felt like we really spoke, like she was there. Then I said to her in my mind (I don't usually talk to her, but once in a great while I do) that was a nice conversation, it was good to see you and talk again.
After I said that a face that was kinda like hers but also like a skull and scary looking came rushing toward me in my mind. And she looked angry.
That was unsettling.

Yes, I had recurring nightmares as a child. It was due to being in an abusive home. After we left my father, the nightmares eventually tapered off, and now I very rarely have a nightmare.
