I've posted a couple of my recipes in the recipe forum, but three of my favorites are:

Ritz cracker crumb breaded chicken parmesan
Grilled marinated chicken breast (pineapple, ginger, serrano peppers and white wine)
Chicken tender melt (chicken tenders, pepper jack, bacon, creamy honey mustard on sourdough)

For the record, I'm terrible at baking. Its no fun following recipes.

I like cooking but I tend to keep it simple, I love stew and dumplings and mince and tatties. I love a good roast and I like making quiche but my hands are always so warm that it makes making pastry kinda hard! my favourite meal is a traditional shetland dish, we call it salt pork, kale and tatties. I love making thai curries and I really like baking too. I make a mean sponge and scones too.
Curry and quiche are on my favs list too! As a southern lady, I am ashamed to admit that I have not yet mastered the art of dumplin' making, but I fully intend to. :)

I agree! I hope that my husband is gifted with the desire to do the dishes, or we would get a dishwasher- human or machine, depending on money. I kid I kid! :p
My parents always told me this was the reason they had children :D

Arwen. You're post brings back fine memories oft oldest brother and I side by side at the sink washing dishes ..

It didn't matter which one of is were washing , the one rinsing was always on the
Lookout for
Spots .. pridefully throwing it back in the dishwater " OOPS ya
Missed a spot ". We still do it today in as kitchen .. ( makes me smile thinking how
Often We could have over looked it and been done faster)

The thing i love about doing good home cooking over cooking in a comercial kitchen is the love and care that goes into it, sometimes i thing home cooking is much better, it also allows for good family bonding time and allows you too to spend quality time making memories that last forever

Things I like to cook/bake:

1. Triple layer brownies (here is a picture I took of some that I made. The picture doesn't do justice to how they taste!)
2. Bacon
3. Breakfast food. I'm pretty good at omelettes and french toast, and I also like making pancakes and homemade hashbrowns
4. Twice baked cauliflower (it's yummy! One of the only ways I will eat cauliflower)
5. Bacon
6. Poppiseed chicken casserole (super easy to make)
7. Bacon

I really want to learn how to grill/cook meat, too. I have no clue how unless it's on a George Forman grill and that's not the same!

dinner was med rare roast beef with swiss cheese, 1000 island and cole slaw on toasted rye bread, and then southern style potato salad. I love to cook some of my specialties are honey bourbon salmon, blackened chicken wine pasta, shrimp diablo, meatloaf, yuengling chili, and others (yes i realize i use a lot of alcohol in my cooking...)

Nothing wrong with that! Few things are better than this Guinness vinegar they serve in the Raglan Road in Disney World. Best thing I've ever dipped bread in.
