they couldnt do a trial by zoom I suppose...?
They weren't doing that yet when they called me, they were just taking temperatures and implementing the 6 feet rule in the seating with masks on.

well, I dont think theres anything wrong with saying you not prepared to do it and wont do it. Its best they know rather than you say you will do it and then not turn up.

I found out that Quakers fled to america cos they didnt or wouldnt conform to the church of england, and set up the city of Philadelphia. Then they had this prison system they wanted to reform, and called it a penitentiary, in which people in jail were kept in isolation or separate in hopes they would repent of their crimes, but apparently it didnt work and it just made them go crazy....otherwise its a rather prosperous city.

Then I think of a city that was actually set up by the Church of England...Christchurch in nz. People go crazy there too, but in way worse ways, I always hear of really bad hate crimes going on there, that was where the mosque shooting was...?! Maybe because muslims were not going to ever conform? I dunno.

for myself in the past
I think I try to conform but I learned that doesnt work out because what I was trying to conform to was my role model elder sister. And she actually didnt really like me copying her.

I would get quite upset that I couldnt be an exact copy and do all the things she did. Probably first and better than me!

Then I learned that God has a unique plan for me. So then it was ok.

In church circles, I had no idea until pastor shared the other day that HE didnt conform to his parents expctations, He used to be a former policeman but gave it up to pastor a church. His parents didnt like that. But also, his parents were anglicans and he went to pastor a baptist church. Which for anglicans, doesnt really count as a 'real church' lol.

I thought it was a bit funny that some people think that people are just playing at church if its not the exact same one they go to.

non conformist messy church here

Theres actually a type of church called 'messy church' where people just sit anywhere they like and nobody is programmed to speak.

The rule is you cant tell others what to do but you have to be silent for a whole hour lol. Sounds a lot like quakers, but its more like my library.

IF anyone loses a book they need to tidy up the library but it doesnt actually get too messy if everything is organized and in its place already. Some people are really precious about being tidy, but if nobody is allowed to touch anything they just wont come.

Theres tidy and then theres 'bulldoze everything till theres nothing' kind of people I find. They stifle creativity.
