I see Him as my salvation, my strength, my provider, my shield, my advisor, my leader, my comforter, my peace, my judge, my healer, my Father, and my strong tower. wow i dont know where to begin with this...
first off the whole male vs female thing, if we believe Jesus is God we need to take His words as true, he references God the father as a father and a he a tonne of times, what about the holy spirit?? Jesus also refers to the holy spirit as also a "He" , John chapter 14, and 16 he says it like 1 millions times lol. and thats jesus's saying those things, all the other writers of the books refers to God as a male aswell.
as for "God as a lover" makes me uneasy and feel weird or the saying " im married to Jesus" , thats when i start to think we go too far and bring God down to our level when He is our God , our creator, king and ruler. if your married to Jesus and other people are saying that also, does that mean he has multiple wives? is it just for females as well? mark driscoll did a good piece on this as he also said about this issue, does that mean God is gay too if its not just for the females? thats why its such dangerous territory to say such things, eventhough you might have good intensions.
