That would be one lonely workplace. You are probably already looking, but I'd keep trying to find work elsewhere. I appreciate you already realise this, but unless it's made up for at home or through our interaction with a local social group, the lack of at work social interactions with friendly workmates can be detrimental to our emotional and mental well being.
I got a big problem with my support group and learning disability. My learning disability makes most things harder in my life. Perhaps not my writing, but everything else. My parents are kinda like my support group, and they don't seem to see anything wrong with my situation. They just think I need to buck up and just take it.

That's often a response when people feel they've tried every strategy they know of to help, and have nothing more they can offer. They may also be saying in a roundabout way that society needs to buck up and live/consider/work properly with you and your disability. A lot in society, and in workplaces, already do that, but there's always room for improvement that's for sure.

If you feel comfortable in my asking this, would you like to tell of your disabilities here? Most of us have a physical, mental or emotional disability of some kind or other, and often a combination of those!

I have talked about them on this site before.... I've been writing prayer requests up. Because I feel that the only answer I got left is God's help. I don't know what is wrong with my parents. The other day I told my Dad, that I want to join the local model airplane club so that I got some guys to hang out with. I would be using my money of course. His response was, that's expensive! He's always putting a damper on things like that. :(

Do you feel you need your father's active support to get into model airplane flying? If not, then I would go for it. The following link has references to clubs in Indiana.

I'm not sure how to explain the "father" approval thing... My dad has always been my best friend, and mentor. This happened to me because the people i grew up around at school, were mostly jerks. They were bullies.

are you ok

my brother joined a car club but did not need dads approval to do so
Im in a garden club

All it needs is commitment, you need to pay subs, and go to meetings etc, but would not think parents need to approve of whether you go or not.

it might be expensive for your dad but hes not the one going is he?

Things have changed, but there used to be a lot of smelt in the lakes of Ontario.
They would be fished at nighttime in the spring. I remember being awoken late
at night when my dad would come home with bushels of them, and we would
fry them fresh, right then. Quite the midnight snack LOL. When looking it up online
it says the smelt population in Lake Ontario had declined dramatically by the '90s.

delicious ours are way smaller though
very expensive if you were to buy from shop though

I don't think I've ever been in a kayak

Though I have spent quite a bit of time on the ocean, and lakes, in all kinds of boats.

Been on cruise-around-the-harbor type of boats, hand made sail boats, yachts, canoes.

But mostly aluminum, like a 13 footer, and also (standard) Zodiaks.

Done a lot of fishing in my earlier years; mostly for cod and salmon.

Salmon fishing is boring compared to cod fishing LOL

And I prefer cod, anyways, even over halibut for fish and chips :D

That looks like something out of a science fiction movie.

New Zealand is blessed with an abundance of tuna species with no less than ten
(10) different species available for the ardent angler. These range from the massive
bluefin of 180kgs, or more, right down to the smallest representative of the family,
the frigate tuna (frigate mackerel) with a weight averaging only a few kilos.

I spent the day looking for a washing machine and microwave.
Some people like researching the internet for the best machine. I hate it but had to and now I feel tired. Coffee may help.

Hello lady named after her cat. I wish I spent the day shopping. I spent it working. Now granted, I was making money, but I've had better days at work. Glad it's over, but dreading Monday.

Afternoon Gojira,

Washing machine shopping is stressful not enjoyable. Too many factors to evaluate. In the end it is a matter of what is affordable and that will do o_Oo_Oo_Oo_O

Half of our weekend is now over it is nearly 5.30pm. Where has the day gone??
Why are you dreading Monday?

I had a dream from God a few weeks ago that I am slowly seeing coming to pass. It is sooo exciting when God talks. I find it amazing and I absolutely love when he shows me things and explains things to me. I am a person who asks alot of questions and he answers most of them. I find that very exciting.

Are you up early Gojira or are you going into the night like me?

Blah! Into zee night! Blah!

I have yet to shop for such an appliance. I'd just go to a Home Depot, get some recommendations, and then read up on them.

I dread Monday because my work day (Friday) was stressful. Just not feeling very confident about my work right now. When I fear failure, I want to avoid the thing in question like the plague.

Fear is nasty. Our automatic response is to avoid it but when you face it (with God) the devil loses his hold on you and you gain confidence in God. Easier said then done I know but worth it in the end when you come out the other side.

Yes I have although most things are still in a box and the place looks a complete mess. I find my self walking around it circles trying to clear the clutter with no light at the end of the tunnel just yet lol. I will just keep at it until it is done. It was delayed by a week as my previous landlord had covid the day before I was to move and I was considered a close contact and therefore had to delay. Everything is bought over now and I just need to unpack and put away and arrange to my liking.

Thanks for asking, how are you going Tony??

Dinner tonight...not exactly exotic. My savoury scones often turn out like rock cakes...stoopid oven. Anyway, I can use them as the main in a dish, and they're always handy as wheel chocks if I need to work on the car.

I know what you mean about circles and clutter...been there.

Going fairly well thank you Ruby. We've had about 300 mils of rain over the past five days, which is not necessarily exceptional on its own. Added to that the water table was still high from the deluge we had a few weeks back, it didn't take long for flooding to reoccur though. But pretty safe where I am.

I'm trying to get my head around the upcoming elections, but not having much success with that.

I hope you see the light at the end of the moving tunnel soon. Stay safe and well. 👍
