My day got off to an interesting start :D I have not been sleeping that great while I've been
at my daughter's, which actually works out well for the cats, because I can spend part of the
night with Luna in the living room and part of the night in my daughter's bedroom with the
little girl cat who is very affectionate and probably gets lonely if left alone too long. The room
switch usually happens between 2-4 in the morning, and seemed a better idea than trying to
transport Luna from the living room to my daughter's bedroom without shutting all the other
cats behind one door or another. Anyways, I was having my morning coffee in the sunroom
after all the felines had been fed, and somehow seemed to have locked the door behind me,
which doesn't make sense, because the door will not open from the inside unless unlocked.
Luckily it was early enough that it was still somewhat cool out, so I had put on my jacket, and
had the house keys in one of the pockets, so navigated the steep back stairs and made my way
to the front door. The door handle key unlocked the mechanism, but the dead bolt was still in
place, so I could not get in the house. Another lucky thing was that I also had pajama bottoms
on. LOL. After speaking with a neighbor walking by, hoping they had a phone (they did not), and
knocking on the next door neighbor's house (to no avail), I wondered what my options were.
What a predicament! I returned to the front door. The keys my daughter had given me had a key
she said she did not know what it was for. I tried it in the dead bolt. It worked! Thank you, God :)
Whew.... Amen 👏

May the Lord's will prevail in your life Willow.

I'm not suggesting you have fallen into this trap, but I have sometimes had an unrealistic expectation of how quickly someone should get back to me. I'm not sure if that has come from a deep hope and desire within me, or anxiety, or doubt, or a mix of all of those, that makes me expect a quick reply.

Also, I feel that I've become so conditioned by the speed of modern communication technologies, that I ought get a prompt reply, and if I don't then my mind tends to wander into all sorts of possibilities as to why that is, and none of which may be real.

I try to not be anxious about anything, and que sera sera.... I'm still working on this!
Well still no answer. I gave it to God maybe not what he has in plan for me.

It might be too early to say Willow. But if there's no reply, you would have to think that God has saved you from an unhappy experience.

And how are you spending the remainder of your weekend?
Gosh, it's Sunday already! Hmmm, every day is pretty much the same to me any more.

I may try to catch up on some sleep :giggle:

Today was a tiring day. We probably had almost 1/2 the plant call off. We had to do QC on 6 skids of pizza's. Mislabeled the year .Almost 8500 pizzas gone through in 2 and 1/2 hr.s. I was glad I had help. We have so new people that is why we have alot of issues it seems. Couldn't pay me enough to be an operator. I guess that is what I get though for asking God to help me lose weight, lol!

Ooops, one very embarrassed operator I would suspect! Do you just overlay the date, or have they got to be reboxed?
Who gets these Willow...mainly supermarkets?

Apparently sals pizza imports their special sauce straight from New York.

However the one time I went there to eat out, they took over an hour to serve us. We were not impressed so never went back.

anyway. I have thought about the pizza industry since Im kind of supporting another pizza outlet with their reading challenge. They make the pizzas to order and I do appreciate it because Lord knows I cant make that many pizzas at school! . Last year I got one of the children to make a thank you card.

Yeah I'm wondering that too.

Also, which year was put on the boxes? Are they already terribly out of date or do they have impressive longevity for a frozen pizza?

I think we strive to make 55,000 a day. Average close to that.
woah thats heaps
do you have huge machines, or lots of staff or what. Do you get to toss the dough into the air

I once visited an icecream factory and they were like a 24/7 operation.
The poor cows must be exhausted from being constantly milked to supply the nation with icecream. But it seems they are willing to sacrfice their young for us greedy humans whove never been weaned.

Yeah, about that...

Lactose intolerance is caused by a "milk digesting" gene shutting off when you're a toddler.

So those of us who are allergic to milk are the NORMAL people! It's you freaks who CAN digest milk who are weird! :D :D :D

Well we have several machines that make up the pizza. They make the dough mixture themselves by adding the flour mixture to a big mixer. Than a machine cuts it, then rolls it, cuts it, and so on. The worse job so far is to be on the line after it flash freezes. Your fingers and toes can go numb. My job is utility . Means I don't usually get stuck in one spot all day. Which for me is a great blessing.

Im afraid Ive never been a fan of frozen pizza myself. I think it tastes so much better when made fresh to order. Some foods dont freeze well.

I hope you find a job thats a bit more human that you love...it doesnt sound like much fun labelling that many boxes a day. I think I would be terrible at it.

I need to be creative or I will go crazy in the workplace I find.

I've tried various cow milk alternatives. They work ok for me on things like breakfast cereals, but don't seem to cut it for flat white coffees. Lactose Free Milk does tho 👍
