I feel like Christian Chat has slowed way down. I wonder if people are starting to loose interest.

It goes slow then picks up again. I have noticed in winter it seems busier.

I've been thinking about deleting the Christian Chat App. My Chatroom experience has been a bit inconsistent, but mostly boring. There have been just a few times that it got interesting. And only a few times was it really what I would call Christian. The friendly part of the chatroom has been what I would call "iffy". There are a lot of times, where people just sit around. I got no idea if they are private chatting or just sitting and waiting for something to happen. There are other times when the microphone people become annoying. I get the impression that they are a little bored, so they are creating drama just to have something to talk about.

After writing something negative about the Christian Chat App, now I want to report something positive. Twice someone on the microphone prayed. I love hearing Christian people praying over things. There is also someone who does bible trivia, and that has been good to hear. I've also heard several eternal security sermons. I don't think i believe in eternal security, but I'm sure glad to hear something Christian being preached.

With as many rooms there are on that App, it would be nice if there could be something going on all the time. It would be nice if there was a room for sermons, a room for prayer, a room for trivia. When I say all the time, I mean it would be nice if we had enough people who could be constantly sharing these tasks. For example, if you needed prayer, you could just pop into the prayer room and there would be someone right there ready to pray with the people in the room. If you wanted to hear a sermon, you could just pop into the sermon room. If you wanted Bible trivia, then you could just pop in.

I know that it's too difficult to have all the chatrooms with a minister in them. But that is what I WISH things were like. i think even a general discussion room would be better if a minister was a moderator. Since 2002, I've been to other Christian chatrooms and I have always thought that a minister moderator would of made them better. Because often times the moderators I met didn't seem to be all that spiritually minded. They were just people who somehow got the job of moderating, and they could just ban whoever they wanted for whatever reason they wanted. In other words, each moderator kinda went on their own, feelings and views to decide who got to stay and who didn't. At least that had been my past experiences.

Anyways, I just wanted to say something about the chatrooms and get that out of me.

I have only been on the chatrooms once then my ipad crashed and it didnt work anymore!

So sorry no chats, I think I would go on there to check it out if it actually worked for me.

But in general I dont do chatrooms cos if theres too many pps I cant follow a conversation. I think having ppl constantly stand by to pray, or do bible trivia, or do a sermon would be draining? Who would be on the computer 24/7 to do this? Or would there be a roster? Im not sure if I would make a good moderator, I dont think I have ever been one or asked to be a mod on a christian forum.

I think you either must be elderly or give a sizabel donation to have influence.

I used to do any questions chat room, but that was during specific hours of the day and only for homework questions. But being an operator meant often you got a lot of prank questions, or, you would sit there for an hour and nobody would come on. And when the internet was slow, it didnt work. But that was years ago lol.

Prank questions would be like how old are you? Will you marry me? lol
The novelty of being online soon wears off for children!

Teachers should be providing adequate resources and knowing good websites to look for, and they could ask a librarian BEFOREHAND so they can order the books and have them ready.

i thought I made it clear that this is wishful thinking on my part. Secondly you would need a staff of people to make this idea of mine to work. That way people could rotate in shifts. Third, they have been playing sermons, not giving sermons. But giving one would be cool if someone could pull it off.

I've been staying busy with rest. Working on hobbies, and getting sleep. I got some other things I need to work on, but I'm at a stand still currently.
Don't know about you, but I sure struggle to get motivated at times. I've got so many projects started, I'm starting to feel overwhelmed by them all. I think I need counselling! I'll have to draw on some motivation from somewhere, and just plug along concentrating on finishing off one thing at a time.

So the salubrious jobs of the day include vacuuming, twirling the mattress and changing the sheets, then hopping on the exercise bike bike for a while, then vegetating. Living the dream. But I am seriously grateful for everything God has done for me 😊

well. there are prayer hotlines (never rung any, but they are there)
and also radio stations that play christian music and content 24/7 so there must be some people with the resources to pull together to do it.

when I did the chat if ppl had problems we were to refer them to LIFEline.

I dont know if somewhere in the world theres like a christian call centre totally dedicated to this.

I know in the Phillipines there is this 24/7 prayer tower, somebody told me about, and some churches do actually try and pray round the clock, in special prayer rooms, and give the key to someone else and they go in there for an hour, and people go in shifts.

But I just reckon if christianity is truly global and there are christians in all time zones then someone, somewhere in the world will be up at the same time as you to chat/pray with. They may not speak your langauge but does that matter?

Hey Ruby, how'd things go for you with the lease?
Hi Tony, thank you for asking.
I just found out tonight that they are happy for me to stay on so praise God I dont have to move in this horrible weather.
They are letting me stay with no official contract so I dont know how long it will be for but God does so I have to just leave it up to him.
Absolutely no rentals here, it is incredible. I have never seen it like this before.
How about you, I think you mentioned your landlord was selling. Is that correct?

That gives you some space to breathe Ruby, praise God, as you say. We'll keep praying for you.

The rental situation over here is the same, very little if any available. Some are advocating the cost of rentals will have gone up by around 10% by the end of this year. I'm paying $385pw now, I suspect that will climb to $400 or more when and if my lease renews at the end of November.

I think I'll be still OK here though. The owners aren't selling here, but the husband will be retiring at the end of 2023 and they will be taking up residence then. I suspect they will extend my lease because they are happy to keep dealing with the same tenant until they move in.

The next door neighbour has commented that he might be offering to rent his new home to me soon. My sister has also offered me a room in her home to use as a base if I want to do some caravanning in Oz or travel overseas. So I've got options, which I am very grateful for.

I do hope that things continue to smooth out for you. Shalom 🙂

I am glad that you have some good options to choose from. Things are tough here but not as tough as what some have it. I am sure the Ukranian people as well as some other countries have it far worse. Still things for the past two years here as well as the world have become uncomfortable and difficult both.

It’s been a lovely day. I definitely feel blessed for so many reasons.

I took care of a puppy today and it was eye opening in the sense that, there were many times I had to intervene so the the pup wouldn’t hurt herself, wouldn’t hurt others, wouldn’t make a mess etc. I was thinking the Lord, is constantly doing this for each of us. That’s pretty amazing. Praise God, for his everlasting love and protection. 💗

Wet day here, yesterday did gardening

my cousin had bought a house (the one next door to where shes living!) and my brothers were giving/selling her all their extra stuff for it. The previous owner had tenants in and they had to find a new place.

The rules say she has to live there for six months at least. I joked shes the one whos gentrifying the area. But I dont think its a joke to the poor tenants who have to find another place to rent as theres no way they could afford to buy.

she told me that she will probably sell again and bulldoze the house so she can have her dream lifestyle block with a horse.

?! well, shes going to be massively in debt for the next I dont know how many years now, paying a mortgage if she doesnt flip it like everyone else does

We haven't had much rain this winter which is not good as summer will be here soon enough and that usually means bush fires. This last week however there has been alot of rain so that has made up for some of it. My landlord told me to feel free to have plenty of baths as my water tank is over flowing.
Today was particularly cold. Fourteen degrees to be exact which is very cold for here. Spring is on the way though as the days are getting darker later.

A nice lazy day, relaxing bath sounds kinda nice doesn't it? Lol.. not in the cards for me today though.

After starting some medicine yesterday I can breathe so much better today, it's nice.

I'll probably make a tuna casserole, quick and easy... And of course sweep and mop the kitchen.

My cat won't leave me alone.. she wants treats and has decided to bother me until I cave in...

G'day guys, how's your day been?

Mine's been pretty laid back...gym in the morning, cafe for coffee, a wee bit of shopping, put up a solar security light on the shed, more shopping, more coffee, now winding down. Cat needs to be fed soon, then to cook up something for myself for dinner. All the while grateful for God's blessing, and hoping I can pay Him back in some way by doing good.

I hope you have had a good one. Feel free to describe yours please, for other than the times I get to chat with the Father, mine can be a bit mundane. Shalom, Tony 🙂
Not terrible today. Decent day at work, about to hit the gym.

My wee boat. Paid $2400 aud for it, spent a few hundred more on it since. I can't get her up onto the plane unless I was going down a waterfall, so I either had to lose a heap of weight or sit further forward. Decided that sitting further forward is the easier option. I found an old mop handle with a flexible head so I've fixed it to the tiller handle for extra length that will help me get the centre of gravity happening better. I've replaced the zip ties with three stainless ubolts for strength. Looks a bit crass, but should help. 😎

A boat? Nice. Just don't take 6 other people with you in the middle of a tropical storm.
