I remember when a year felt like 5 years. Now 5 years feels like a year. As we get older, time is like a roll of toilet paper. unfurls slowly at the beginning...

I remember when TV sets used to be about 18 inches wide. And they only came in black and white.

I remember when politician's, police officers and teachers were respected.

I remember when you could run and play outside and have a care in the world. I remember when technology did not rule the world. where selfies were taken on a roll of film. I remember families sitting down to dinner together every night. I remember getting my hind End beat when I did something wrong and it was not illegal to get a bit of a reminder of your bad behavior. I remember when kids were listening in school and respecting the teacher with out being doped up on medications. I could go on and on lol.

I remember when I used to dance to music no matter what....and I still do lol....just love grooving to some good music and started out when I was 3/4 just dancing....practicing my robot dance yeeeeaauuhhh!

In the 80's there was "break dancing"...

i remember when ken jennings was on jeopardy for a month.

I remember in the 1960's and early '70's when we left the doors and windows unlocked when we went out and when the babies were in the prams, and the Mum went into the shop, she happily left the baby in the pram, unattended outside. Totally safe!! Those were the days!

I knew a friend in Australia during a Youth Summer Camp in beautiful lake and mountain settings, and he was the third top Australians in break dancing. He was so fluid and smooth.

I remember when AutoTune was not a thing. When you heard someone singing you knew they could sing really good (or not.) I remember when a recording studio didn't have to deal with bad singers who expected the technician to just run their voice through a computer and make it sound good.

At singing practice last Sunday we were learning a new song and we listened to the original (AutoTuned so heavily you could hear the artifacts) and then we listened to a pretty good black choir singing the same song on a live recording. I said, "It's a good thing we had that second version. We would never have been able to sing it the first way."
