Unfortunately it's not something you can control in settings unless the owner intervenes to change things. When you see arduously long posts that typically lack clarity and conciseness, you're not missing anything in the discussion if you don't consider them in your ensuing responses. If there's a proper point to be made, it can be done minus an essay (or multitudes of) and so doesn't affect the substance of the writing nor the audience it pulls.
