WoW! These have warned you with wisdom. I have heard of girls and women who were asked to be married SAME WAY and that served for nothing, but to have "legal" sex...

The Bible teaches of Tamar (?) and several other story-lessons that will back you up. If God talks talks TO BOTH.
I´m divorce. This is not sound or the better experience to live up, so pray and search deep in you.

For those who were asking where Ugly was coming from:

1 Corinthians 7:32-35

New American Standard Bible (NASB)

[SUP]32 [/SUP]But I want you to be free from concern. One who is unmarried is concerned about the things of the Lord, how he may please the Lord; [SUP]33 [/SUP]but one who is married is concerned about the things of the world, how he may please his wife, [SUP]34 [/SUP]and his interests are divided. The woman who is unmarried, and the virgin, is concerned about the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and spirit; but one who is married is concerned about the things of the world, how she may please her husband. [SUP]35 [/SUP]This I say for your own benefit; not to put a restraint upon you, but [SUP][a][/SUP]to promote what is appropriate and to secure undistracted devotion to the Lord.

If you think it's taken out of context, also look at the whole chapter. It says in verse 7 of the same chapter he wishes others were single like he was. But, if God wants you to marry, or if you have a burning desire for it, then marry. Don't just sit and let it burn. Everyone is different. A lot of people want to marry, or God wants them to marry, and God will tell others to remain single because they are better of single than they are married.
Sorry Lil, but Paul makes it clear that those are his words and not GOD's.:

(1 Corinthians 7:6-7)
But I speak this by permission, and not of commandment.
For I would that all men were even as I myself. But every man has his proper gift of God, one after this manner, and another after that.

GOD commanded us to be fruitful and multiply..(which means get married)

(Genesis 1:28)
Then God blessed them and said, "Be fruitful and multiply. Fill the earth and govern it. Reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, and all the animals that scurry along the ground."

God definitely commanded Adam and Eve to be fruitful and multiply. That does not mean he commanded everyone to be fruitful and multiply. If that were the case, then Paul would be suggesting something that went against God's command.
It would also mean God allowed something that went against His command to end up in the Bible.....Enough said.

On a side note: lil_Christian has shown more class, maturity, and wisdom than some quite a bit older than her. Sure older people should be more experienced in some areas, but that doesn't mean we know it all. Jesus put a great emphasis on even the smallest of children. We can learn as much or more from them than they can us sometimes. We can learn from people of all ages. We shouldn't dismiss someone entirely or regard their opinion higher just because of what their age is.
Furthermore, it's possible that someone 16 has experienced something that someone who is 106 hasn't. We all have our own experiences and something to offer.

haven't read the whole thread, just the last page, but wanted to add these verses:

Matthew 19
[SUP]10 [/SUP]His disciples said to Him, “If such is the case of the man with his wife, it is better not to marry.

[h=3][/h][SUP]11 [/SUP]But He said to them, “All cannot accept this saying, but only those to whom it has been given: [SUP]12 [/SUP]For there are eunuchs who were born thus from their mother’s womb, and there are eunuchs who were made eunuchs by men, and there are eunuchs who have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven’s sake. He who is able to accept it, let him accept it.”

JESUS says some folks are meant to be single for life.

I didn't really say it was a commandment. I also said a majority of people are better off married, and some are better of single.

I read the whole chapter and my pastor made a sermon about it before. I remember he had pointed out before that they were Paul's words of wisdom to those people, which as an Apostle he had a lot of wisdom and a lot of good things to say. So it would be a good idea to listen to what he's telling ya.

So as I said, most people will marry, and/or it's God's will for them to marry, but not everyone is called to marriage. :)

No problem :) I was thinking you might have misunderstood. So no offense was taken, no hard feelings. :D
What happened is I didn't actually read your whole post because I saw someone thank you for sticking up for them so I assumed that you were expressing the same view that they had. That's what I get for assuming. :/ Thanks, and it won't happen again! :)

Astonished again.

The man has been rounded up and prepared for a stoning without trial (condemned) as if all men have not sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. If Abraham and Sarah were here today, certainly she would be told to leave Abraham because of the things that he has done. Condemned. This is what I see in the churches. There is no comfort, conviction, or encouragement to do that which is right in the sight of God. All have turned to their own ways and to their own understanding.

Where is the conviction to walk in the truth? Why is it even a question as to what the will of God is? Do you know Him or not?

Again I am left perplexed and wanting to leave this wicked earth and be with the Lord. Again I only know it is better to remain because that it is the will of God. Knowing because I know Him, know His voice, and yield to His authority.

As in the days of Noah and Lot... it certainly is.

I totally agree with Porthos' and Markum1972's response. There are important issues to be addressed here before you decide on a final breakup. Dont be hasty, seek God in prayer and seek Godly counsel from people who know you much better than we (friends on CC) do.

By the way, Thanks lil_christian for your mature response. Now that's something we all can learn from.
