Seems like the guy paying for the first date is the safest bet. I have heard some women say they offer as a sort of cheapness test, or if they aren’t interested in going nay further.

If it turns into a relarionship, it makes sense to alternate or split the bill or whatever. Paying for everything the entire time is a bit daunting unless I get a much better paying job (which I am working on).

I put both simply because it is courteous and polite to offer. Whether that is how it turns out or not is up to the two people.

I would pay...If I am fond of her which I would probably be..since we are going on a date...But afterward, if I see I like her a lot and start seeing her..I would enjoy paying all the time. I believe it would make her feel good as well as make myself feel good too.

You know Vince. When I was in high school. I did a thesis in my English Lit. class on Darwin's theory of evolution vs. the Bible and that's where I drew a conclusion, It came down to faith. I have read much more theology since then.. But that was what changed my perspective at the time...

Oh, okay so you believe in the bible and evolution?
Cain married a woman from the land of nod she can't have been a desendant of Adam and Eve because that would be incest so where did she come from? Evolution? Could this mean scripture supports both creation and evolution?

This is a discussion you are going to have with someone else Daz. I am a new testament type of guy. I am totally into theology. I found that there are way too many questions. The bible is full of contradictions. Men wrote the bible. not God... I use to occupy my time by thinking of things that don't matter. I could never understand that if God made Adam and Eve Pure, and without sin. How was it possible for Eve to commit one? Silly things of this nature. I don't trouble myself with such things. Today, I focus on my relationship with God and what He means to me in my life today and try to be the best person I can be... For me it works. We are all different and unique in God's eye... I think we all have to find our own path.

If you go Dutch, which is to say, each person pays for their own meal, and one suggested this, it typically looks like that one is cheap. Which bodes bad impression in matters of looking to the future and a serious relationship potential. It's bad if they're cheap on the first date when first impressions are key.

In matters of the OP question itself, the one that asked the other out on the date should pay.

Good answer Lilly! I don't think that anyone could disagree...

That's just silly. What did she evolve from? Not even Darwin was fully secure in his hypothesis.

Genesis 1:24-27, Genesis 2:7and verses 18-25 answer the question. God made humans on the 6th day along with the animals.

If you throw out all the interesting and challenging bits of the Bible, I wonder what kind of God you are left with to believe in.

There are extremely simple explanations for this without any necessity to embrace evolution.
But it's also WAY off topic for this thread.

I recommend you start a new thread if you want to get into this stuff.

Welcome to CC.

True. Buried in Westminster Abbey's north aisle of the nave and not that far from Sir Robert Newton.
The President of the Royal Society made the suggestion that Charles Darwin and other notables should receive the honor.
People often think Charles Darwin was an atheist. He wasn't. He was an Agnostic.
