If you could live anywhere ON EARTH, where would you live and why?

Thankfully he wasnt on White Island when it blew up, but I cant believe my mum actually wanted to go there. I was like no. We sticking to Rotorua. Its got plenty of mud

Personally, I think the best earth to live on is clay.

why clay

well, it wont sink like sand
mud is too sticky
and you wanna leave the loamy soil for the garden
clay is fine to build a house on (and with)
it is flexible yet also solid
unlike rock which you might have to cut out.

You can shape clay, and fire it and glaze it.
Also clay is really good for your skin

I would love Canada or Alaska if I could just stay snug in my cabin in the winter. Life demands that we go out and earn a living and do errands though, which is awful in winter.

I agree but with 2 diagnosed concussions slipping and falling on ice is something I want to avoid. I was told that every time you hit your head the symptoms from concussions get worse.

I know quite a few people who tried living in Canada but they said it was too cold and so ended up here in Auckland. Also, that is why not many people want to live in Dunedin.

Im sorry I cannot solve peoples climate problems...but if you look on a world climate map that has hardiness zone for plants, you'll see the zones which are frost free. Then I supoose you can make an informed decision on where to live if you were to live anywhere you chose and didnt want to slip on any ice.

zone 10 and above are frost free

(there are 12 zones, 1 being coldest, 12 being hottest) This is the international standard for plants. I live in zone 9 (I have a microclimate) even though technically should be zone 10

just to be scientific about it.

In a cabin. At this cabin, there would be a wheat field in front of it, with trees and mountains behind. There would also be a nearby stream. In this cabin, there would be a wood stove and other comforts of home.

I dunno about the wheat. Those combine harvester things are noisy and scary
Sunflowers and corn would be nice though.

I cant imagine how you would find somewhere though because all the land is already taken and youd need to be a billionaire to ever buy any.

although you can stay somewhere temporary if you are working in the wheat fields I suppose. But operating those farm machines is noisy. Plus, I dont know what they spray on these wheat fields.

I heard of one yankee (someone who lives north of Tennessee) who said when he retires he's gonna load up everything he owns in a u-haul truck, strap a snow shovel on the hood and start driving south. He plans to keep driving south until someone at a gas station or somewhere points to the snow shovel and says, "Hey mister what is that thing?" Then he'll find a house there and live the rest of his days in a land where they don't even know what a snow shovel is.

Sounds like a good plan to me. They don't even sell snow shovels here. At least I've never seen one in real life, only in the movies.

Great plan count me in lol. We can start our own convoy to start a pilgrimage for warmer weather and tropical climate lol.
