I Love this thread. There is No arguing from me that it has (Had?) its place. I think, though, that it may be time to let it live out its life in peaceful rest. I(We) need to laugh, but sometimes I(we) also need to be careful who at and how often. Maybe we(WE) need a sticky in this forum about this Not being a place to meet someone, not a dating site, and definitely not a hookup site. Maybe also we(I and us) can find encouraging ways to discourage that which sometimes needs discouraging. I for one have been guilty of wanting to post if not actually posting some stuff that was less than a good witness. Being a good witness does not mean not having fun, blowing off steam, or even letting out some of the more raw distasteful emotions that we(I) sometimes feel in the company of believers. Maybe I just woke up on the Hallmark(greeting card company for those out of the country and the occasional man that is really that unfamiliar with what Emotions are

Isn't that just about every Christian guy. Somewhere down the road everyone started rejecting those " goodey - good" teachings in the Bible anyway. " Christian" guys I met have slept around with several different women, beat on their girlfriends, have disgusting mouths, and yet somehow say they are men of God.

I think I'm a horrible Christian honestly. I catch myself leaning on my own understanding and disobeying without even thinking about it. I really gotta watch myself. I just recently got over an alcohol addiction. I occasionally give in to really stupid temptations I feel like I should have mastered by now. CC really helps me out a lot because I'm surrounded by bad influences and temptations with no Christian friends (or at least any remotely obedient ones) in real life to talk to. Believe it or not I think that when people rebuke me and tell me I'm going too far or doing something non-christian is the best thing I get out of being here. I don't have anybody to keep me in check or point out that kinda stuff about me IRL.

Love & respect, Brother. If you ever want conversations regarding life after alcohol, or staying sober even in the hard times, let me know. It takes us being here for each other sometimes.

Ha ha, thanks. My friends miss my old partying side and invite me to parties all the time....Even though I keep asking them not to. I had to quit talking to some of my friends completely. I had some female friends that I thought were friends, till they couldn't "sleep over" anymore and quit talking to me over it. None of them are bad people per se but only like one of my friends is a good influence to be around.
