Ok, so a guy that I've been chatting with asked me out and it hit me. I'm not that brave.

And I haven't been on what could be considered a "date" in a long time.

I live on the edge till the edge bites back.

Anyone else not that brave either?

Can't really say that I am. But new things and experiences are fun and exciting. If I'm comfortable doing something different then so shall it be. :p

A good guy would understand that you've been through a lot and give you a couple of weeks to get to know him better so you'd be more comfortable, but you'll probably still be a lil nervous. I think all of us are probably nervous on a first date if it's someone we really like. :)

I've been in your situation I had a guy ask me out a few times and I never went because I was too afraid to see what would happen. I regret it now because he was a great guy and now we aren't talking to each other. I recommend if the chance comes around again take it...of course I'm preaching to choir here. Hope this helps :)

There's a few guys I've been chatting with that I would like to meet but the thought of actually booking a ticket or meeting them for dinner when they get here scares me.

Therein lies the problem of this all, guys are READY after 1-2 months and girls are READY after a 'long period of time'.

~~~Truth be told, I think most guys are ready to ask you out after... 1-2 minutes :D
----I will get heat for this, allfunfor, but I think pictures are important , if 'chatting' refers to online get-to-know. Serious, too, get to know q guy long on website chat.
See 'Swordfish' for REASON I say get to really know person before aTraveling long to see them,
GreenNnice, I have had a web presence for 10-15 years. If I gave you my alias, you could find what I look like in .00002 seconds. I am not worried about that.
I think it is just a case of school girl nerves. It will be in public, I have a mobile phone.
On another noté, allfunfor, God works in everyone different. For some, it's 1-2 minutes before you feel the blood of Christ protecting you AND God's leading, with, for me speaking, nudging from Holy Spirit. And, for others, like Nods, He leads in 2 years :) JK, Nods. :D
~~~
Wow! .00002 seconds, tha

I'm the exact same way right now. There's someone I'm chatting with. We've been chatting for some time, we've really connected and we really enjoy talking to each other.... down side is? I'm too afraid to meet him. I keep making up lame excuses so I can't go.

You're not alone on this!

I ended up having a quick coffee break with him yesterday. It was well worth my time.

Mapquest.

~~so, if you're with a guy, lost trying to get you, and, he, somewhere, you are probably quité capable of assuaging his frustration, or, if not, pardon the pun, driving him mad. :D
