Sure, the guy should have a job but if he's going to school and working hard and the girl he likes is going to school and working hard, that is the kind equally qualified relationship I am speaking of. Sure, it's awful hard (not impossible, for all things are possible with God) to go out with someone who is not with a job and you are with a job. But, there are different ways to look at that, too, like if you are willing to see the nerdy or homely guy is close to finishing his schooling and is close to being a teacher, like, let's just say, for the sake of understanding, YOU ARE A TEACHER already. So.....there ya go.
And, lastly, a lot of times a shy nerdy, homely looking guy can be just in need of a girl to give him a little confidence
Girls, too, NOT just guys over-think reasons for WHY a relationship won't work, when they, really, need to consider all the reasons TO get into a relationship, TO understand what the Lord is leading them TO

I don't think we should go into that mindset of 'she's married' as we are out and about and see a girl who gives us the 'eye.'
Again, beauty is in the eye of beholder, so, 'ugly,' or, 'not particularly ugly,' it's all relative to the girl, of who her dad looks like, her brother, her mother, maybe, I'm likely stretching with that last one And, it's also, for her, about how you communicate with her. And, as said before, a brash, cool, guy MAY be just the OPPOSITE persona this gal is looking for. She's made it a point, from past relationships, maybe, of hunk guys throwing her to the floor, or, that hunk guys are more into his muscles, or, more into sports than girls, and, she's got a pretty good idea the nerdy guy is going to not be into his bod, not going to be into watching NBA basketball, and, other sports fanatically, and, this guy is just a plain wrapper albeit pretty shy guy. HEY ! SHE LIKES YOU

Guys don't need NO high-paying job to have a traditional Christian marriage; all they need is a heart that's after Him, God WILL proVide the rest, DK But, yes, too, don't be someone you're not, but MAKE CERTAIN that person you are NOT is who God wants you to be too
More of us should consider relationships in a decision that God decides instead of ourselves, cheychey. We sooo want to be in control, but, that's rarely God's way for ANY of us. He's in control, and, IF we think we are in control, then, He will show us the way and IF we don't go His way then our 'control' will be a direction we'll see, at some point, was out of control

Well.. you have a point with the school thing..and you have a point that more of us should consider why a relationship with someone would be a good thing if they are with God..but I would rather hold on to my vote about whether a relationship would work or wouldn't until I would get to know him more .

hellooo I am single and 53..that should tell you I have been waiting for God's choices for a very long time, and except for my "bump in the road" recently .. I have truly been picky..
besides even my bump was a really nice change from the previous men and I did learn what standards I needed to have..
and even thought it was probably not real for him.. I was treated like a princess for 2.5 months of my entire life and it was just super nice
I actually think it was God's gift to me (we prayed and prayed even before we actually dated so we both thought God was leading us together for marriage but it must have been something else) and for that 2.5 months it was a very nice gift
I am grateful..
and next time? the bar will be set a little higher
(no cussing from the man, no inappropriate tv/movie watching, no obsessions, no depression and no octopus!..oh and he has to participate in praise and worship)
