Kayem Posted something earlier and it made me realize just how important hope is in a relationship.

Hopes, Dreams and the Passionate pursuit of what moves us are things that people can really rally around. I know that as a teen I always fell into my puppy love stage with girls who would dream big and seemed to have the ambition to accomplish their goals.

If She wants to be a missionary and save the world, I wanted to be her accomplice.

If she wanted to rescue Trafficked women from eastern Europe and set them free, I wanted to be her sidekick.

Because having a life with a purpose is so great and so valuable it makes any sacrifice never seem to large in the face of all that could be.

I had forgotten how important it really is to keep our eyes focused on God. He has a plan for us and its probably greater than anything we could try and find for ourselves. He wants to inspire us to show the world the love that each of us is capable of.

In my own life, I have been worrying about what will become of my being single or not. There is a great uncertainty that veils what tomorrow holds. God is not an uncertainty. I know what my heart is capable of and I now fear that if I took matters into my own hands I could short circuit the very thing I was wired by God to do.

Don't be afraid to remember what moves you. Don't limit your expectations for what God has for you.

"Hold on to all that you hide in your heart. There is one thing that has always been true, it holds the world together. GOD IS IN CONTROL!"

What are the dreams that have moved you the most?

I volunteer for teenchallange reaching out to prostitutes who have drug and alcohol addictions my dream is to see them turn them lives around and be that treasure out of the darkness hat gods promised they would be. Despite what might seem on the face of it that nothings hapening , seeing some of girls going into rehab , bailing out and going back out on the streets again.. One thing ive neverlost is hope.. Faith hope and love can get you anywhere you want to be..

My other dream this might sound stupid after seeing so many great christian guys hooked on porn and online sex is, more help, support , understanding even christian rehab places similar to teenchallange where they can deal with it without fear, guilt or shame...

yeah i deffinitly feel gods put a pashion on my heart for those dealing with any type of addiction and those afected by it to

MY DREAM IS TO BE A MISSIONARY!! I work for an airline, so I have been blessed with free flying priviledges. That means I can hop on a flight anytime I want with ease. Since I have this capability, I have no excuse but to become a missionary!! I would like to focus my mission work on Costa Rica and just be there to volunteer, help in any way possible, participate in their culture, and get to know and love the people so I can teach them about God's plan. I would like to purchase a house there one day for sure. Perhaps a slightly smaller dream of mine, is for next year's vacation Bible school to be even more powerful than this years!!

I am inspired by girls that want to learn how to dance, be adored, have a family and own a house. Practical women with make sense plans. I find there are too many of these pie in the sky save the world types with visions and plans that are actually just stupid and making the world worse instead of better. I also wonder sometimes why such people can't get it into their heads that the past two generations of university graduates held the same nutty beliefs and things are worse than ever.

In younger days, I wanted to run around the globe telling people about the Lord SOMEDAY. After years of being a cop, I realized how lost my own country was and what a missionary field I have right where I am. There are hungry people here. There are homeless people here. There are dying people here. There are lonely people here. There are people in prison here. There are people in nursing homes here. There are unsaved people all around me. We look toward SOMEDAY, but:

"For he says, "In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you." I tell you, now is the time of God's favor, now is the day of salvation." 2 Cor 6:2

I'd mentioned in my dream of a lifetime post a week or so ago that I wanted to lead worship at a Billy Graham Crusade or Women of Faith Rallies...but aren't the lost souls at the church where I ALREADY lead worship and the churches I travel to singing what's in my heart just as treasured by God?

SOMEDAY I may do all of those things, but I need to be about the Father's business everyday, no matter where I find myself. He may come before someday comes and I don't want to be one of the lazy servants He talked about...

I was touched by the passion I read in Liamson's, bella's and snugpug's posts. It made me smile because THEY GET IT. If we want to be with someone who is passionate for the things of God/on fire to to serve Him, we need to BE that sort of person for THEM as well. As Liamson so wisely posted in another thread, "From such a thing, such a thing comes". :)

My dream has always been related with helping people in need. Before I was christian, I considered becoming a doctor, it wasn't something sure but I reaaaallly liked the idea. I have always felt in my heart the push to do something for others.
Now I feel that the Lord put that desire in my heart for some reason but I was giving it the wrong focus. I want to help people in need, but not just physically; emotionally and spiritually too. A physical help just helps for the moment, the gift of the Lord is foreveer and heals the deep wounds in our hearts, that's what I feel I should share.
I've considered working at the SalvationArmy in some local shelters or something, but I still have to get some things done before that. Whatever it is that I end up doing, I want to accomplish God's will, not mine, even if it sounds like a small dream, I know He will do great things with it.
So answering the question, what moves me right now is what He wants me to do. Sometimes I'm still not sure what exactly it is, but I know is great in his eyes, and that he put a desire in my heart for some reason.

lol. I MIGHT be. Can't really say. How I describe pie in the sky save the world types best in simple terms---- seems to be people characterized by two central themes.... they seem to recognize whether they admit it or not that they are powerless to change just about anything in their own country/community. (Any idea on how to solve the U.S. debt in a way that won't upset some interest? No, probably not or else it would be being done.) Yet they adapt these beliefs that everybody else in the world is just sitting there waiting for them to come by and magically spread heaven on earth where ever they may go. This second aspect is usually created by a very romanticized mythical outlook of missionary work and the third world and a strange belief that every dark skinned person in the world is just waiting for some white person to show up and show them how everything is done.

So you don't have any aspiration by yourself? You just complain about other people's dreams instead of having one on your own. I'd like to hear what would you do to make the world better because I noticed that you like to sit behind your computer and blame everyone about everything while you don't do nothing about it and don't have the least intention of doing so.
If compassion bothers you so much then don't expect people to feel compassionate about you and stop complaining about you not finding a good church, a good girl or good peope at all when you are not willing to give compassion by yourself. I've seen your posts and all you do is complain and complain and complain. Hope you are never found in a situation where you need the help of those stupid compassionate people. Hope those people don't think like you do.

lol... that's right, I was in the need of help of those stupid compassionate people years ago but they are trained exactly the way I've described them.... to believe that only those in other countries or of other races could possibly be poor or disadvantaged or need help of any sort. So I've learnt to smirk at them whilst they try in vain to suck blood from a stone or shall we say money from me for their pie in the sky political correct causes.

Let me ask you a question, given I already had my career extracted from me by the Canadian government so they could fill some quotas for incoming immigrants, exactly what more should be expected of me? In my view, I'll be "donating" some $50,000 this year in lost income from these programs so why does anyone come begging me for even more money? Bet you haven't made any sacrifice nearly the same yourself.

So you suffered enough and nobody should expect anything from you because you already did enough? Hmmm. Look I'm so sorry those people didn't help you,it seems like they weren't compassionate, but I'm sure anyone who has lived a little has been disappointed at least one time. You fall, you get up, and hopefully you learn.
And no, I hadn't spent millions helping people, but I know there are lots of ways of helping, money is one of them, but it's not the only one. I was talking about compassion, compassion as you know now, is not always linked with money.
Sorry if you felt offended by my post but it really bothers me that you always make offensive, racist, sexist, discriminatory and self-pity remarks on your posts and that they may hurt and discourage some people on here who are struggling with faith. If nobody has shown a little humanity to you, maybe you need to show them what humanity is.
God bless you, I hope someday your wounds are healed.

No, I guess not and probably because the drama of the world never ends... I'll continue after the other quote...

.... so in just the past week... the Canadian government pledged $75 million dollars to what is called a horrible famine in Africa... in addition they want me to personally donate myself and they will match my donation with my own Canadian taxpayer dollars. So if I pay the second time, I get to pay the third time too. I went to some event to celebrate "Canadian Heritage Day" and apparently the tax funded event celebrated cultures of around the world but somehow skipped anything and everything that looked like the Canada I grew up in. Whatever. As I was leaving I was surrounded by a group of African Islamic women that wanted money for yet some other troubled African nation. Was it Somalia? Rwanda? I can't remember. Got nothing to give them anyhow. Then a few days later I'm walking down the street and get surrounded by a group of Philipino women who want money for I guess they say there was some flood over there? Must have missed it but whatever. They seemed pretty annoyed when I politely said no to their calls to "save the Philipino children" from the flood. Someone else was selling art claiming all the proceeds were going to ... was it Ethiopia? Or was that Somalia?

The point? ITS ALWAYS ABOUT MONEY!!! And like I say, everything that's already done, doesn't even count. Nope, thirty years of affirmative action and Obama as the U.S. President and its the same old ""what can greedy whitey do for everyone else?" routine.

Let me ask you something, if you're all such great Christians, and "God loves all of his children equally" why don't you just pray to him and he'll take care of everything instead of insisting that after you kill off Spiderman for being "too white and too protestant" for "our" new multicultural society that WHITEY operate as this God for you to save every other ethnic group??????? I don't have any money for you and if I did have money, I'd use it to get some bimbo, knock her up, and start my own family instead of trying to fund all of yours.

Its actually kind of clear what it is that you are passionate about and maybe you might find someone who loves your passion. Its kind of white noise to me at this point, like a yapping dog.

But people are attracted to positive passion, not necessarily negative passion. If someone loves Ice Cream and they talk about all the reasons why its amazing to them, they will inspire people to try ice cream but, when people come across someone who hates Ice Cream and describes all the reasons why they can't stand it, people will wonder why the person is so negative about Ice Cream.

Its hard to dream in negative space. Its hard to not be negative when you are afraid to dream. If I let the expectations of everyone I know, dictate who I am and what I should do, I would be miserable. Instead as Ghandi said, "Be the change you wish to see in the world."

So if I wanted to work on Nuclear Missiles, I did. If I wanted to show that there can be peace between Protestants and the Orthodox Church, I did. Let Faith Hope and Love guide you. The greatest limit that exists between you and the person you could be, is you. There is much that can be accomplished with Dedication, Determination and Discipline.

Persecuted, don't run aground on the shore in the sea of what you could be. Remember what is right, what is wrong, what is clear, what is pure and how all of these things come from God above. (From such a thing, such a thing comes.)

Liamson, I know you deserve better than this response, but I think it is the most honest one (to myself) I could ever give. I know what I am passionate about and what I am interested in that creates positive space. I am thinking that I must buy my own Hooters franchise and make all of the staffing decisions myself.

Well its true. Isn't the "Mexican Dream" to get into America so as to get lots of social services from Anglo-America? Last I heard the Mexican government even encourages this.

I don't care if the mexican dream is to get lots of social services from America, I couldn't care less if the government approves that.
I thought we were on a christian chat, and whatever dream is the mexican/american/italian dream it does not apply to us. The nazi dream was to have a full aryan world but that doesn't mean EVERYONE supported it. I sense that you were somehow disappointed in your life and maybe that's where your bitterness comes from, only you and God knows. Whatever it is, you should see that it's hurting you and you should do something about it. Pray God to help you,and even though I don't like how you think ,not even a little, like seriously:) I'll pray for you. I know there is a free of persecution Persecuted inside of you.
