Is it easier to love or be loved?

Depends on the type of love you mean.
Parents can give love to their children easily without thinking about whether they receive it in return.
Loving your partner is different. The love shared between a couple should be equal in both directions.
In theory love should be easy in any direction because love is a positive force. In practice love can be a lot trickier. We are all human and we do have selfish desired whether we admit them or not.

Think what you are saying. Your mother is a woman and yet you say all women lie. This is disrespectful to her. It is probably closer to the truth to say all people lie. I have never met a person, for whatever reason, who has not lied. You cannot love your neighbor as a Christian when you start off with disrespecting them. You make it clear you have no Christian love for them.
I do not know your history but allow your beliefs to affect your attitudes and you will have more peace. There are fabulous women out there just like your mother.

I grew up witnessing my mother lie and steal from time to time. She loved me, but was a liar and a thief.
