What is the #1 rule that all non-married Christian couples seem to be held to?

No sex before marriage.

It's like, pre-marital sex is the only possible sin that a couple could commit. For some reason, it's used as the "standard" for how well a teen or young adult couple is following God's way for their lives. If they don't have sex, they're honoring God; if they do have sex, then suddenly they're just like the worldly couples?

I'm not trying to downplay it, of course. A sin is a sin. Yet... why is that the only thing that seems to be focused upon? I'm befuddled. Surely sexual immorality is not the only thing which couples can get in trouble for? Isn't there anything else? Anything at all? Why does it only come down to sex?
I'd say because its a common sin. And a powerful sin that easily draws people into it. Its also a sin that can have lifelong consequences that even with God's forgiveness, won't change the consequences.
This site is full of perfect examples. Look how many people on here lost their virginity not married, and after being saved. Sex is running culturally rampant, and its seeping into the church.

This debate is always a tough one for Christian couples that are not "yet" married... I will not give my view here since my view may open peoples eyes to take advantage of the truth in a sinful way. So all i can say is that it could be a sin and it could not be a sin, the decision lies with you if you want it to be a sin or not.

If you don't know what i am talking about, well read more of the Bible and get the clear message given to us.

"Its only a sin if you want it to be." Sounds like newage garbage to me.

This seems off topic, perhaps you would like to create a new thread to clarify your previous post.
I would like to but i wont for many reasons you wont understand. Let everyone take word for word in the Bible and follow it, but for those who have found more, let them keep it to themselves in case they bring greater sin to the unwise. Even the truth at times must be covered in order to help the people do the right things.

To sum things up vaguely you can read this. Take this in mind and read elsewhere about marriage in the Bible and just maybe you will find what i have told to be true.

We know that the law is good if one uses it properly. We also know that law is made not for the righteous but for lawbreakers and rebels, the ungodly and sinful, the unholy and irreligious; for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers, for adulterers and perverts, for slave traders and liars and perjurers - and for whatever else is contrary to the sound doctrine that conforms to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which he entrusted to me. [1 Timothy 1:8-11] <--- These laws are referred to Gods laws not, i repeat, not the worlds laws.

I do not want to argue and make this turn out in a quarrel. I will not make a new thread on this topic because then i will be the one to pay for peoples sin. If you cause someone to sin, you will take the blame as well.
