Phil said something in one of his threads about marrying someone with annoying habits.

Do you have any habits that you KNOW annoy other people?

Ever dated someone with a habit that made you grit your teeth? What was it?

Ok..there was this person I was 'dating', and when we'd watch movies together, she'd always be asking if I could see what was coming...or if I was thinking this or that about plot development..and it was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO annoying!!! Cuz I figure, the writer of a movie, will tie up the loose ends and end his plot to completion. So instead of interrogating the movie in process, just watch it.

I also agree with the movie thing...

My own habits?
I've been known to bite my nails in the past, but I'm much better now.
I like stories, so I will often try to come up with a story from my past to match the conversation.
I will glaze over when being told about fashion.
I do not know stats about sports. Please don't ask what I think _______'s chances are of winning the trophy/cup/title/belt/prize this season.

My annoying habits

My attention span for talking and listening is about 20 minutes, anything past that, and i zone out.

Im a get to the point type of person. Dont give me details because i dont care about details and i will never EVER remember them. So when someone is telling me something and there going on and on and oooooooon, i usually say. Can you get to the point.

I leave my clothes everywhere

Im messy

I forget everything

I like complete silence when im watching t.v. or a movie.

I must have the fan on and the window open while im asleep

I have an order of my day i like to go by, when that gets messed up i get irritated

I turn into satan when im tired, hungry or hot

Annoying habits
1. Jumping off walls. )Okay figuratively, but what's a girl suppose to do when she has to much energy.
2. Always have to understand everything. It annoys people when I nick pick at something, simply cause I don't understand something.

adapted and adjusted (thanks Noddy!):

My annoying habits

With most people: Im a get to the point type of person. Dont give me details because i dont care about details and i will never EVER remember them. So when someone is telling me something and there going on and on and oooooooon, i usually say. Can you get to the point.

I leave my clothes in strategic piles sometimes. DON"T TRY TO DO MY LAUNDRY. It will only upset me.

Im strategically cluttered. I know where things are. If you want it clean, please tell me to do so. Cleaning it yourself without knowing where things exactly go will only upset me.

I forget everything

I like complete silence when im watching t.v. or a movie so that we can hear each other's reactions to stuff. Was that funny? He' s laughing. So yes. lol

I must have the fan on.. while im asleep

I have an order of my day i like to go by, when that gets messed up i get irritated

I turn into satan when im tired, hungry or hot

Adding to the two above, since I couldn't edit them.

3. I'm always asking people to repeat themselves, because they come out sounding like a mumble.
4. I have a tendency to phase out at times, and just focus on something in front of me. Sometimes people think I'm staring at them, and other times people think I'm ignoring them.

(No, I do not have ADHD, despite #'s 1 & 4)

I'm so with you on this. PLEASE leave out all the gory detail. Also, I could care less about what Aunt Sally did after she walked her dog to the park and back for over an hour.

I am in mobile and web development, so the fact that I have three working phones? Annoys anyone not in tech.

I can text in .0004 seconds.

I talk fast even when in a calm mood.

I have lived all over the world and have a Heinz 57 accent. Texas comes out when I'm tired.

I don't use an alarm to wake up, but always get up when I tell myself too. This has been an annoyance for people before.

I'm cold blooded and when holding my hand, it can cause frost bite.

Even thought I know what most fast food menus have on them, I don't know what I want till I see them. I have too see the menu.

I don't make ice, I buy it from Sonic. I like the pellets and life is too short to worry about this small matter, but for some reason it annoys some people.

They can make ice for you then, if they don't like Sonic Ice.

Sonic Ice is the greatest ice ever invented...

Oh dont ever....EVER....wake me up before i HAVE to be up. otherwise I will hate you (emergencies such as fire or zombies are ok)
im a guy...i burp sometimes, its a bodily function, get over it
i will start day dreaming on you if you start telling me a pointless story that lasts longer than 2 minutes. Im not trying to be mean but i really dont care why your uncle is not allowed to drink at family gatherings anymore
Oh and dont mess with my music. If you want to listen to your music we can take your car and spend your gas

Mine:
I'm bad about seques in conversation and sometimes forget what they are for. Could be an attention span issue.
Neat freak. Can't help it. Have tried to quit, but I'm not as bad as I once was.
Drive too fast and am impatient with people who don't know how to avoid gridlock.
I have to deal with three phones (one desk, 2 cells), several computers, security systems and endless questions from people all. day. long. When I get home I want QUIET.
When I'm sick or in pain, I'm not safe around other living things. Go away.

Oh..and...sometimes my leg shakes when I'm nervous.

Other people:
Hair tossers/flippers
People who can't pass a mirror or window without gawking at themselves.
Women who apply lipstick at the table.
People who blow their nose at the table.
Guys who come to your house, use your bathroom and leave no signs of having washed their hands.
Rudeness to servers/cashiers/other service personnel
Chewing tobacco. JUST SAY NO.
Hovering.

I can't stand eating noises. Where did you learn to eat? In a kennel? Shut your mouth and chew. And there IS a way to get the cheese powder off the end of your fingers without making a sound. It's called put it in your mouth and suck. Open mouth to remove.

No need to scrape every last atom of ice cream from your bowl if your instruments cause a loud clanging noise. Just lick it if you must.

I can hear you chew ice too. It sounds like crunching bones and gives me the willies.

Smacking your lips does NOT make your food or drink taste better. It makes mine worse.

And if you're going to walk in where I'm watching TV and decide to eat chips and a peanut butter sandwich (and yea.. the sound of someone eating a peanut butter sandwich is sickening), then you better at least offer me something to eat so I can ignore the noise, or just leave. Cuz I will.

All annoyances above are null and void if we're eating somewhere loud. Accumulating noises in a cafeteria = little to no irritation to me.

(Annoyances courtesy of my father, the epitome of rude dining habits.)

Let's just say that if I ever go on a date with a guy, I'm not gonna order a salad. The way I eat that might scare him away.

The movie thing really gets to me, too. My sisters are notorious for this. If we've seen the movie a few times, then I'm okay with it (you should see my sister and me get pumped up for LOTR).

I have this zoning out problem, but not when I'm talking to people. If I'm in a group and randomly zone out and happen to be looking at someone, I'm not staring. My mind is simply somewhere else.

I don't like hearing someone else eat when I'm not. The noise irritates me no matter how quiet you are.

I'm forgetful. If my head wasn't screwed on, I'd forget to bring it with me on my way to class, work, or anywhere for that matter.
