I have only known Ken for a short time; have never met in person but he is very kind, sincere, helpful, friendly and knows, loves and serves our God with such grace. Thank you Ken and am looking forward to learning more about God through you, this site and others on here. Blessings

The day after Blain started this, my first response was a youtube video. When we reinvigorated the thread just now, I noticed it was gone, so I went to put it back, and my first choice is no longer on youtube. I figure that's why it's gone So here is my second. Blain, if you see this, read it as "my brother (you) and me".

Okay so you all know the drill, tell of how ken has helped you or how his words of wisdom has blessed you. Do you see god's spirit in him when he posts? anything encouraging and good will be great, But remember haters are not allowed Xb
Ken helped inspire me to take on some musical endeavors beyond anything I've ever done before.

I, like many, love the guy and agree that he is a wise person. Doesn't this thread, however, come awfully close to idolizing God's creation? Anything good in any of us is to God's credit.
Ken, You know me and are a friend to me, and though we don't agree on all things (tongues for example) it is encouraging to find such an outspoken follower of God and leader.

I was thinking of when Josephus said that Saul ran and hid from the crowd who wanted to make him their first king. I meant that as a compliment to your humble spirit.

However, reading parts of that link, what is your thought on reading Josephus...I am just on about page 170?
I think Josephus is one man's opinion. It is impossible to separate what he wrote to impress the emperor vs. what he wrote to impress what remnant was left of the Jews at the time, and what he wrote to express God as Josephus saw Him. His writings are certainly valid historically (minus the additions supposedly made by Christians later), but it would help if we had a dozen others, not just Philo, and a few gleanings we can pull out of the Talmud or the Dead Sae Scrolls, to compare him to.
